Every Harry Potter Fan Will Be Snacking On These Next Month
If someone in your life is a fan of Harry Potter (other than yourself), it’s likely they are eagerly waiting for a special, scarce snack that is set to be released in March.
The One Snack Kids (And Their Parents) Can’t Get Enough Of
In a household with two toddlers, it’s essential to keep readily available snacks on hand that they’re sure to enjoy, given their fussy eating habits and frequent mealtime refusals.
Among all the nutritious choices we have at home, it’s only Goldfish crackers that consistently win over our toddlers. These crackers are quite enjoyable for adults too, if you don’t mind me mentioning it (just ensure our daughters don’t catch wind of this).
Over the past few years, Goldfish snacks have grown significantly beyond just the classic cheesy fish-shaped crackers. The brand’s parent company, Pepperidge Farm, has introduced a variety of new options such as strawberry shortcake Goldfish graham crackers with Hello Kitty designs and seasonal pumpkin spice versions available during autumn months.
How To Get Harry Potter Goldfish
As a die-hard movie buff, I can’t help but get excited when iconic brands like Pepperidge Farm collaborate with popular culture icons to create special edition goodies! And speaking of which, they’ve been coming up with some truly unique flavors of Goldfish crackers that are not only tasty but also tie in with current trends.

The newest connection draws Goldfish into the realm of Harry Potter, a link unrelated to cheesy fish snacks.
Starting from March, special edition Butterbeer-flavored graham crackers based on the Harry Potter series will hit stores nationwide, as stated by Eat This, Not That. For those not in the know, Butterbeer is a popular drink that makes appearances throughout the Harry Potter books and films.
Our collaboration with Goldfish includes graham cracker shapes in the forms of barrels, owls, and of course, fish. According to Eat This, Not That, the taste promises a delightful blend of rich butterscotch and subtle undertones of creamy vanilla.
There’s no news about how long the Harry Potter-themed Goldfish will stay in stock. Given the fame of the series, it’s likely that they won’t remain available for too long once they hit the shelves next month.
The Craziest Fast Food Menu Items Ever
Pizza Hut’s Hot Dog Bites Pizza
As a movie-loving foodie, let me tell you about my encounter with the mind-boggling creation that is Pizza Hut’s Hot Dog Bites Pizza. It’s so outlandish, you’d think it was dreamt up by a mad scientist! If they’d added bananas to it, it would have been even more absurd. You can learn all about its intriguing origins on the Pizza Hut website. This culinary marvel first made an appearance in Asia before spreading across the globe and finally landing on our doorstep in 2015. In some parts of the world, they stuffed a standard hot dog inside the crust, but here in America, we got mini hot dogs wrapped in pizza dough, forming a ring, served with mustard dipping sauce. Talk about a recipe for chaos! This gastronomic madness was only available stateside until 2016. If you’re feeling adventurous and want to give it a try, just grab a pizza and a platter of hors d’oeuvres – you’ll have yourself quite the culinary adventure!
Tim Horton’s Buffalo Latte
It’s important to verify the authenticity because the articles discuss an unusual beverage that is available exclusively in the Buffalo area of Tim Horton’s, and not as a prank on April Fool’s Day. As per Bon Appetit, this drink combines freshly brewed espresso, steamed milk, mocha, and a bold Buffalo sauce flavor. Despite my extensive experience tasting unusual foods for this site, I can’t fathom sipping this concoction.
Burger King’s Gooey Apple Green Slime Sauce
In the ’90s, Burger King was more like Mad Max’s Thunderdome – anything went! When it came to kids’ meals, there were no rules whatsoever. For instance, they had this intriguing “Gooey Apple Green Slime Sauce” that accompanied their chicken tenders in the “Big Kids Meal.”
Now, let me clarify, even a sane adult might find eating something labeled as “slime” off-putting. However, it was the ’90s – a time when Nickelodeon, which drenched celebrities in slime regularly, and Ghostbusters (and their mischievous companion Slimer) were all the rage. Plus, let’s not forget that kids back then were known to be a little less discerning.
McDonald’s McStuffins
In essence, most people opt for McDonald’s because it offers familiar favorites like Big Macs, McNuggets, and fries that they’ve loved for years. However, they often falter when attempting to be innovative or capitalize on trends, as demonstrated by the “McStuffin,” which resembled a Hot Pocket and didn’t last long on the menu due to its lack of success. (A side note: It was later adapted into a children’s TV show – though I must admit, that’s purely fictional.)
KFC’s Double Down
The Double Down is an extraordinary idea that you might have wanted to taste at least once. This idea consists of two fried chicken patties acting as the ‘bread’, with cheese, bacon, and sauce filling in between. Originally introduced as a temporary offering in 2010, this culinary marvel proved so appealing that it remained on menus for quite some time. KFC reintroduced it once more, briefly, in 2023. Perhaps there’s still a chance to bring our shared dream of an all-chicken chicken sandwich to life.
McDonald’s Chicken Fajitas
Fajitas, consisting of grilled meat strips served sizzling on a metal skillet, gained immense popularity at casual dining restaurants during the 1990s. Given that McDonald’s was involved, they decided to create their own version, but rather than sizzling or being served on a hot skillet, their fajitas consisted of limp chicken pieces placed on a cold tortilla with picante sauce packets.
Although I found McDonald’s fajitas to be one of the worst food items I’ve ever tasted at McDonald’s, they did have their loyal fans – such as this Reddit user who stated in a discussion about McD’s fajitas that he was an employee during its final days.
He wrote, “Nobody would order them, so I often ate them for lunch. Normally, employees had to pay reduced prices for food, but my shift manager allowed me to have as many as I wanted without charging.” Thus, it seems that the fajitas’ last days were a memorable period in his life.
Sonic’s Pickle Juice Slush
Regardless of where they’re purchased, frozen drinks usually come in some common flavors like cherry, blue raspberry, and cola. A flavor you rarely encounter is pickle! Surprisingly, that was the unique option presented by Sonic a few years ago.
The fast-food chain declared the slushy drink combined the taste of a salty dill pickle with a sweet slush for a refreshingly sour treat, reminiscent of drinking straight from the pickle jar. Hmmm… tasty? I must admit, I enjoy pickles on sandwiches or burgers. But consuming pickle juice directly from the jar? That’s a bit of a mystery to me.
Despite it sounding strange to me, the Pickle Juice Slush wasn’t necessarily bad. First introduced in 2018, it gained such popularity that Sonic reintroduced it for a limited period in 2022.
Taco Bell’s Waffle Tacos
In 2014, Taco Bell caused quite a stir in the breakfast scene by introducing Waffle Tacos. As you might guess, these weren’t your typical tacos; they were made with a curved waffle serving as the shell, filled with eggs and either bacon or sausage. You could even top them off with syrup for an added sweetness. Nowadays, Taco Bell provides a selection of breakfast quesadillas, burritos, and Crunchwraps, but sadly, there are no more waffle tacos on the menu.
Burger King Mac N’ Cheetos
Kudos go out to the creative mind behind the idea at either Burger King or Cheetos: a fried snack that looks like a Cheeto on the outside, but has creamy macaroni and cheese inside! To make things even more intriguing, Burger King has introduced Flamin’ Hot Mac n’ Cheetos. We are truly living in a world filled with extraordinary culinary marvels.
Taco Bell’s Naked Chicken Chips
Over the years, similar impulses that led to the creation of KFC’s Double Down have resulted in a variety of “Naked” menu items at Taco Bell. Instead of traditional grains, these dishes feature breaded and fried proteins disguised as tortilla chips smothered in queso sauce. However, upon closer inspection, they are actually bite-sized triangles of fried chicken.
Taco Bell’s Naked Egg Taco
1. If you’re a fan of food without clothes, Taco Bell has come up with a “Naked Egg Taco” where the shell is actually a fried egg, and the fillings include potatoes, bacon or sausage, and cheese.
2. Speaking in earnest, Liz Matthews, Taco Bell’s Chief Food Innovation Officer, stated in 2017 that innovative shell development lies at the heart of their experimentations. To hold such a title at Taco Bell, you must be among the most inventive culinary minds on Earth.
Burger King’s Whopperito
Talking about food creations: Don’t forget the Whopperito! It was essentially a Whopper wrapped in a tortilla and smothered in queso sauce instead of ketchup, mustard, or mayo. Initially introduced as a trial in Pennsylvania, this unusual combination quickly gained popularity and garnered widespread media attention, even becoming a topic on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.” (“It’s fantastic if you enjoy both foods, but not so much if you love yourself.”)
McDonald’s McSalad Shakers
In simpler terms,
For years, they’ve presented various options similar to salads at McDonald’s, but it’s never felt right. It’s like visiting Panda Express for Mexican food – it just doesn’t align with their specialty! And the McSalad Shaker, well, it was essentially a plastic soda cup filled with lettuce and a few toppings. Yes, you could shake it, but that was about it. The McSalad Shaker was simply an experiment (or a McPeriment) that lasted only a couple of years.
In this version, I’ve attempted to convey the original meaning while making it more accessible and easier to understand for a broader audience.
Burger King’s Yumbo
Although they are known as Burger King, this fast-food titan has occasionally strayed from their traditional recipes throughout the years. For instance, did you know they sold a veal parmigiana sub in the 1980s? But nothing compares to the Yumbo in terms of its unique name! So, what exactly is a Yumbo? It’s essentially a hot ham and cheese sandwich. Yes, you heard it right – the Yumbo was a popular menu item at Burger King during the 1970s. The legend of this intriguingly named dish grew so much that they brought it back to their menu in the 2010s. Yumbo!
Taco Bell’s Triplelupa
In the latter part of the ’90s, Chalupas were added to Taco Bell’s menu. Since then, the company has continuously developed new versions of this idea. One of their most unusual creations was the “triplelupa” – a complex three-piece Chalupa shell, filled with three distinct flavors (nacho cheese, chipotle, and cheesy chipotle). Taco Bell marketed it as “the longest shell in Taco Bell history,” but considering that people usually opt for fast food due to its speed and convenience, a large shell might not have been the most appealing aspect.
McDonald’s McDLT
In the years leading up to “Seinfeld,” Jason Alexander showcased his talent for music and dance, promoting McDonald’s innovative burger called a “McDLT.” This burger was unique as the beef and toppings were kept separately in a large Styrofoam container with multiple compartments. Essentially, it was an ordinary burger that produced more environmental waste. However, if you remember Jason Alexander enthusiastically discussing “hamburgers with lettuce and tomato that haven’t quite arrived” and singing catchy tunes like “The beef stays hot! The cool stays crisp! Combine them, and you can’t resist!” then it’s an advertisement you’ll never forget.
Little Caesars’ Big! Big! Bucket of Spaghetti
Back in the ’80s and ’90s, Little Caesars skyrocketed in popularity thanks to their catchy “Pizza! Pizza!” slogan and the irresistible offer of two pizzas for the price of one compared to other chains. It got me thinking – could this concept be applied to other foods? Well, how about a colossal bucket overflowing with spaghetti? For a while in the ’90s, Little Caesars actually offered this humongous tub of pasta, complete with breadsticks, for just $8.88. Talk about an odd yet fascinating idea!
Taco Bell’s Bell Beefer
1. In the fast food industry, the Sloppy Joe isn’t commonly found in self-service establishments. However, Taco Bell attempted to introduce this concept with their Bell Beefer, a product that aimed to grab a piece of the sandwich market and attract customers who weren’t in the mood for tacos or burritos.
2. The idea of a Taco Bell sandwich might seem odd, but the passionate efforts of some Taco Bell enthusiasts to bring back the Bell Beefer – as reported by Snopes! – are downright extraordinary. They even staged protests, which they referred to as “Stank Festivals” in certain San Francisco Taco Bell locations. If someone were to initiate a “Stank Festival” at my restaurant, I would likely oblige their request just to maintain peace.
McDonald’s Hula Burger
According to legend, McDonald’s wanted to cater to Catholic customers who abstained from meat during Lent by introducing a vegetarian option on their menu. The Filet-O-Fish eventually filled this role, but before it became a permanent fixture, McDonald’s also considered a unique creation called the “Hula Burger.” However, this burger was quite unusual as it wasn’t actually a burger – instead, it featured a slice of grilled pineapple topped with melted American cheese on a bun. While grilled pineapple might be appealing, I have my doubts about whether it would make a satisfying sandwich centerpiece when covered in melted cheese.
Taco Bell’s Chocodilla
As a devoted movie-goer, I must share my excitement about the innovative culinary ventures at Taco Bell! They’ve taken their famous quesadilla and given it a sweet twist – introducing the “chocodilla,” a delightful dessert filled with gooey melted chocolate instead of cheese. And if that isn’t enough to satisfy your sweet tooth, they’ve also dabbled in candy-flavored quesadillas, such as those stuffed with Kit Kat and Butterfinger pieces. Honestly, it sounds like a dream come true! I can’t help but wonder why Taco Bell hasn’t made these scrumptious treats more accessible to us all.
