As a long-time fan of The Tick, I must say that diving back into this wild blue yonder was like reuniting with an old friend who’s been through some serious adventures! Prime Video’s adaptation of the iconic character didn’t disappoint, delivering comedy, action, and a whole lot of heart.

Amazon’s show “The Tick” brought joyful adventures from the vast skies once more, packed with humor and action typical of this iconic character. The series initially premiered on their streaming platform in 2016, consisting of a total of 12 episodes that primarily centered around the title character, Arthur (who plays The Tick’s sidekick), as they endeavored to vanquish the villain known as The Terror.

Hey there fellow gamers! As I journeyed through the epic tale that was this game’s first season, each episode seemed to have its own unique charm. But if I had to pick the absolute gems, which ones would make it to the top? Let’

12. After Midnight

12:00 AM was an unusual figure in the TV series, portrayed as a talking canine. Animals have often played significant roles in the storylines of this show (such as the Man-Eating Cow), but Midnight wasn’t one of the standout characters on Prime Video. An episode centered around him lacked the captivating essence that other episodes in season 1 possessed, making it the least impactful and memorable.

Still though, like all Tick episodes, it had it’s moments.

11. Risky Bismuth

In simpler terms, the penultimate episode of season 1 for the series The Tick, just prior to the two-part finale, can be described as a tranquil moment before the onset of chaos. This tranquility, however, was more about setting up the story rather than action. A few key details were exposed, but not in a way that built up to a dramatic climax.

Not a bad episode at all, but not a great way to set up the season finale.

10. Secret Identity

In “Secret Identity,” Arthur finds himself grappling with the decision to retire his superhero persona, seeking solace in a life devoid of The Tick. This tale provokes curiosity: What draws someone to the life of a superhero?

As a gamer, I’ve found quite a few intriguing responses to that query tucked away within, and let me tell you, it’s got the makings of a thrilling gaming episode!

9. Party Crashers

As a gaming enthusiast, I’d say one of the most hilariously memorable episodes was “Party Crashers.” The humor in this installment is gold, particularly when The Tick barges into Arthur’s stepfather’s birthday bash uninvited! This episode delves deep into Arthur’s family dynamics and even unveils one of the season’s major crises.

There’s a lot going on in this one that you might not have noticed just by the title.

8. My Dinner With Android

In the show “My Dinner With Android,” the CGI wasn’t particularly convincing, but a standout scene occurred when The Tick developed a bond with a robot, which was both moving and amusing. The connection between The Tick and the machine, as it transitioned from tender to intense, was heartwarming, heartbreaking, and downright comical.

That’s The Tick in a nutshell!

7. Fear Of Flying

A unique kind of crisis, “Fear Of Flying” focuses on getting someone down from the sky. The Tick is faced with a problem he can’t solve through brawns, so resorts to motivational speaking. All with a killer action scene to boot.

6. Tale From The Crypt

This title cleverly echoes the iconic comic “Tales from the Crypt,” and the episode lives up to its hype. There’s an abundance of delightful moments starting with Arthur versus The Terror, followed by The Tick struggling without his partner, and numerous challenges that arise, not to mention a multitude of crucial plot twists essential for understanding the series as a whole.

5. Pilot

In the initial episode of the series, the Tick’s costume appears altered since it wasn’t the definitive version. Yet, the program effectively captures the iconic Tick ambiance that fans are familiar with, right from the start.

In the first installment, we meet the vast, open sky and a reluctant partner, giving a glimpse of what the series will offer. Not many premier episodes can match its quality.

4. Rising

In this scenario, Arthur finds self-acceptance and realizes his true identity as a hero. Consequently, him and The Tick publicly present themselves as superheroes for the first time in The City. They manage to rescue a bus full of passengers and a lucky dog during their debut.

As I venture deeper into this gripping series, it’s around mid-season where things truly begin to unravel. The intricate web of The Terror starts taking shape, drawing me in even further.

3. The Beginning Of The End

This marks the start of the climax, the first half of our two-part conclusion. All the plotlines culminated at this point, creating an incredibly tense atmosphere. Never before had the predicament been so grave, nor the risks so significant.

As The Terror’s scheme neared completion, it fell upon The Tick and Arthur to thwart his intentions. A perfect setup for the climactic episode of the inaugural season.

2. Where’s My Mind

In the opening episodes of “The Tick“, an intriguing premise unfolds: Whether the title character exists in reality or is merely a figment of someone’s imagination becomes the question at hand. Arthur begins to believe that The Tick is nothing more than a delusion, and that his own sanity has slipped away. Despite Arthur’s misconception, The Tick is undeniably genuine. Yet, this thought-provoking idea sets it apart from any other superhero series, as no show has previously tackled such a concept.

As a devoted viewer, I can’t help but express my excitement about how the series kicked off with a bang, setting the stage for an incredible journey filled with thrilling adventures. Picking up right where the powerful pilot left off, it’s clear that there’s no looking back!

1. The End Of The Beginning (Of The Dawn Of The Age Of Superhero)

“The final episode of the season, cleverly named ‘The End Of The Beginning (Of The Dawn Of The Age Of Superhero)’, was truly impressive. Each character was tested to their maximum, even The Tick had to confront the thought of doing something unimaginable. Moreover, it tied up all the storylines from season 1, setting the stage for the show’s next season.

There couldn’t have been a better beginning for the dawn of the age of superheroes.
