Even Diddy’s Personal Chef Says They Are Concerned About What’s Next: ‘I’d Like To Express How Terrifying This Whole Ordeal Has Been’
This week saw a positive outcome in court for Sean Combs, as he was cleared of the more grave charges such as racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. Now, focus has shifted to what lies ahead. Diddy’s legal team is gearing up for sentencing, while some who spoke against him, like his former personal chef, express concern about potential retaliation from the influential music figure.
Jourdan Atkinson was on the prosecution’s witness list but was not called to testify against her former employer, per People. She reported that she was both a victim of alleged physical abuse by P. Diddy and a witness to his alleged abuse of ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. As the rapper awaits sentencing on the charges of transportation to engage in prostitution, Atkinson wrote a letter to Judge Arun Subramania, which she posted to Instagram. It read, in part:
I’ve been absolutely terrified throughout this entire situation, especially since I was summoned. This ordeal, lasting over the past year and a half, has been deeply traumatic for me personally. The verdict only adds to my distress. Upon his eventual release, I have genuine concerns about my own safety.
Jourdan Atkinson wrote a letter asking the judge not to grant Sean Combs bail before his sentencing, while Cassie Ventura’s lawyer also reportedly submitted a letter stating that Combs might endanger Ventura or others if he were released from prison.
In the course of awaiting trial, the record executive was consistently denied bail. On Wednesday, Arun Subramania once more refused the defense’s plea for him to be released from custody after the jury’s decision. Subramania based his rejection on the defense’s own admissions, stating:
In your final statement, you emphatically emphasized to the jury that there was indeed an instance of violence in question, and it’s important to note that domestic violence falls under the umbrella of violence. You clearly stated that this specific case does involve violence.
If P. Diddy had been found guilty on the more severe federal charges, he could’ve faced a life sentence. But since the two counts against him involve transporting someone for prostitution, the maximum penalty combined is 20 years in prison. Jordan Atkinson expressed this hope when she captioned her Instagram post: “Let’s pray for a 20-year sentence.
I’m deeply concerned that he receives a 20-year sentence at minimum, but I don’t expect it to happen. I’m struggling, and I haven’t been feeling well for some time now. I don’t feel secure, and I’m uncertain about the future. I’ve always supported Cassie, and this situation has left me baffled. I can’t fathom why things transpired as they did, putting us all in jeopardy. Why? This is unjustifiable.
As a follower, I’m not alone in thinking that retaliation could be a real concern. Diddy’s former bodyguard, Big Homie, has voiced his concerns about his former employer. With the possibility of the rapper being released from incarceration, Big Homie has decided it would be safer for him to live outside of the United States. He also mentioned that there have already been “sufficient and imminent threats” directed towards him.
The court has scheduled a hearing on July 8th to speed up the proceedings, while the sentencing is set for October 3rd. Keep an eye out for further updates.
