Ryan Gosling, 45, surprised everyone – and sweetly celebrated his partner’s 52nd birthday – by bringing her onstage during an appearance on The Tonight Show this Thursday. It was a rare public moment for the couple.
Eva was completely surprised when he sang “Happy Birthday” to her, backed by a full high school marching band. They even held up a flag that read, “Happy Birthday, Eva!”
Two days later, Mendes thanked the late-night host and the North Bergen High School marching band on Instagram, writing a message of gratitude with a playful warning to Ryan Gosling.
She fondly remembered the moment and expressed deep gratitude to all the teachers present, emphasizing how crucial their work is today.
Mendes concluded her message with, “Lastly, my man… I’ll get you back for this,” and included a heart emoji. She hinted she might post her own tribute when his birthday arrives in November.
The post included a candid photo of Mendes, Gosling, and Fallon laughing together backstage at NBC.
Ryan and Eva first worked together in 2011 on the movie The Place Beyond the Pines, a crime thriller that also starred Bradley Cooper and Ray Liotta.
