Eva Longoria whines about ‘un-American’ LA immigration raids from France as city goes on lockdown

Eva Longoria criticized the “un-American” actions of ICE deportations, which have caused unrest in Los Angeles, while she is shooting a television series in France.

Before the city enforced a citywide curfew following nights of unrest in its downtown area due to ongoing pro-immigrant demonstrations that have persisted for five days, her remarks were made.

Between 8 pm on Tuesday and 6 am on Wednesday, large areas of the city will be subjected to a tight curfew while law enforcement works tirelessly to restore order and suppress widespread chaos and vandalism.

50-year-old Longoria addressed the situation affecting Los Angeles in a lengthy video posted on Instagram to her 10.6 million followers on Tuesday. She expressed that though she wasn’t present in LA, her emotional support was with those affected by the unfolding events.

The captivating actress, known for portraying Gabrielle Solis over 180 episodes of the hit ABC show “Desperate Housewives” from 2004-2012, was recently spotted in France.

Longoria said the unfolding events were ‘hard to witness from afar.’

The celebrity from Corpus Christi, Texas expressed that he finds it hard to visualize the current situation in Los Angeles. He also mentioned his disbelief about what’s taking place in Austin, Texas and across the nation as a whole.

I find it quite astonishing that the responses and comments about it are so unexpected, as it goes against the American spirit.

As a passionate admirer, I found myself utterly astonished, witnessing the series of events transpire, as they seemed to contradict the fundamental principles our American ancestors established.

The Golden Globe-nominated actress stated, ‘It’s clear we all share the sentiment that we don’t want criminals, rapists, drug dealers, or harmful individuals in our nation – and let me be clear, it’s not as if they are flooding into our country.’

Longoria stated that President Donald Trump exceeded his limits with his actions, and he failed to keep his election pledge of expelling only criminal offenders.

She stated that events like birthday parties, school graduations, and shopping at Home Depot do not involve criminal activities.

Celebrity Chrissy Teigen was one of many Hollywood figures voicing their opinions on social media regarding the continuous demonstrations in Los Angeles, stemming from ICE raids initiated by President Donald Trump.

As a committed follower, I found myself tuning into various social media outlets like Instagram, as reports surfaced that President Trump had directed 2000 troops from California’s National Guard to a specific region amidst continuing turmoil. This decision, it seemed, was met with opposition by Governor Gavin Newsom of California.

On her Instagram Stories, the former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, Chrissy Teigen, posted a tweet expressing thoughts on how funds could be directed towards feeding and aiding those in need instead of the raids being conducted.

A recent post hinted that President Trump might have had political motivations behind his aggressive actions in Southern California.

Teigen additionally shared a promotional post for an upcoming demonstration titled “No Kings Mass Protest,” scheduled for June 14, together with a link provided by the event’s organizers.

As a passionate advocate for change, I’ve walked a winding path in my activist journey, with my marriage to the renowned artist John Legend being just one facet of my life.

During Trump’s initial term, she became a notable figure speaking against him, frequently irritating the incumbent president on multiple occasions.

On Tuesday, Kim Kardashian shared a post expressing that there MUST BE A MORE EFFECTIVE approach compared to the methods President Trump is currently using.

As a passionate advocate, I initially cheered at the notion that ICE was intended to safeguard our nation and apprehend dangerous felons – fantastic! However, when I bear witness to the heart-wrenching separation of innocent, diligent individuals from their loved ones in cruel manners, it becomes imperative for us to voice our concerns. We must uphold what is right.

In her video, Longoria expressed that the immigration system during Trump’s tenure is significantly distorted and manipulated to such an extent that seeking even fundamental citizenship has become like playing a fixed or biased game.

For those repeatedly shouting, “You should have come here legally, just wait your turn,” let me clarify: The concept of a specific line you’re referring to doesn’t actually exist… This imaginary queue that everyone seems to mention is merely a popular phrase, not a tangible reality.

There are individuals who have been patiently waiting for their citizenship for a quarter of a century, yet some of you might be cheering, “They deserve this.” However, that’s not the case.

Actor Justine Lupe shared a post by well-known liberal actor Mark Ruffalo on her Instagram account, even though she was away from the city at the time.

She expressed, “Though I’m currently not at home, my affection for you, Los Angeles, remains strong. We arrived here together as a community in January, and we stand united once more. Evict ICE from our shared space; we cherish our fellow residents.

In simpler terms, the post by Ruffalo was a critique against those who unfairly accuse the most impoverished individuals for causing hardships in one’s own life.

As Los Angeles, the city of angels, takes more steps to quell the unrest and disorder.

Mayor Karen Bass revealed the fresh directives following intense discussions with the police chief and key advisors, considering if a firm curfew could function as a temporary solution to interrupt the situation and calm the unrest.

Over the past five days, rioters have been causing chaos and unrest in various communities, protesting President Donald Trump’s attempts to remove undocumented immigrants from the city.

They became even more angry when Trump issued commands to deploy 700 Marines and 4,100 National Guard members to assume policing duties and support the LAPD.

When Trump announced his decision to send 700 Marines and 4,100 National Guard troops to aid the LAPD in law enforcement, their anger intensified further.

Or:
The situation inflamed when it was decided that 700 Marines and 4,100 National Guard personnel would join the LAPD in policing efforts, with Trump giving the orders. This only served to make them more agitated.

In disturbing images of chaos, demonstrators torched vehicles, broke into structures for theft, and assaulted law enforcement using stones, fireworks, and concrete blocks – all reminiscent of a less developed country’s turmoil, as described by Attorney General Pam Bondi.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m sharing an update: The authorities anticipate that the curfew will remain in effect for several days, covering approximately a one-square mile area surrounding the downtown Los Angeles district where the recent unrest occurred.

Any protester who defies the order and remains out in the area past 8pm will be arrested.

Restricting nighttime movement within the city is likely the next action to reestablish order, since the LAPD intensifies apprehensions and tightens rules against demonstrators who disregard illegal assembly directives.

Large numbers of demonstrators were handcuffed together and escorted onto Los Angeles Police Department buses in a large group, as officials tried to put a stop to the prolonged period of unrest and damage.

LAPD chief Jim McDonnell said protests had grown more violent as the week progressed.

On Sunday, there were only 27 arrests made. The number increased to 40 on Sunday itself, followed by 114 on Monday, and by 6pm on Tuesday, the total had almost reached 200.

He said public safety personnel, journalists and homeless people would be exempt from the order.
