Eva Longoria Stuns in Dazzling Sequinned Gown at Cannes Before Film Festival Kickoff
On Monday, before the film festival, Eva Longoria captivated attention with her stunning sequin dress while gracefully walking through the luxurious Hotel Martinez in Cannes.
The actress was absolutely stunning in the snug, deep-necked dress that beautifully accentuated her exceptional physique.
She stood tall, donning a pair of high, matching heels, and added a touch of elegance with a pair of dangling earrings.
With wavy loops in a half-up hairstyle, the actress from Desperate Housewives styled her long brown hair, complementing it with a luxurious spectrum of L’Oréal cosmetics, featuring a striking stroke of vibrant red lipstick.
Eva clung to her team’s arms, navigating cautiously down the hotel staircase, followed by taking a sip of a warm drink.
In the hotel lobby, the actress from The Land of Women showcased her radiant grin, clutching a pair of shades in hand, as she strolled along.

This morning, Eva posted on Instagram, celebrating her 20-year collaboration with L’Oréal, as she was pictured surrounded by several gold balloons on her luxurious bed.
Additionally, she gave a peek at the process behind her beautiful daily appearance, where several stylists were busy smoothing out her hair and perfecting her makeup.
Eva was cheerful and at ease, lounging comfortably in her robe, with her nails being pampered in preparation for the event.
2021’s Cannes Film Festival is happening amidst President Trump’s promise to impose taxes on foreign movies.
Canne, a global hub that attracts filmmakers, dealers, and press, is often referred to as the Olympic Games of cinema. Just like the Olympics, it culminates in an award – the prestigious Palme d’Or.
Filmmakers hail from all around the world to display their movies, while negotiators tirelessly work throughout the night to sell completed films or production bundles to different regions.
According to the Brazilian director, Kleber Mendonça Filho, he’s launching his film, titled ‘The Secret Agent’, into an atmosphere reminiscent of the Colosseum, as he brings it to Cannes once more. This film is a thriller that takes place during Brazil’s dictatorship era.
Preparation is key, as this event promises an intense experience, much like the anticipation before climbing the stairs to a roller coaster at the Palais.
Trump stirred up surprise across Hollywood and the global movie industry by declaring, on May 4th, that films originating from foreign countries would be subjected to a 100% import tax.

The White House has communicated that no definitive choices have been settled yet. They’re considering encouraging domestic productions with federal incentives instead of tariffs as an alternative. However, this statement serves as a cautionary tale about how global conflicts can disrupt even long-established cultural entities.
The Cannes Film Festival was initially established during the years of World War II, as a response to the growing fascism in Italy, which caused the overthrow of the previously government-controlled Venice Film Festival and prompted the creation of an alternative film festival instead.
Over the years, Cannes’ unwavering dedication to cinema has turned it into a guiding light for filmmakers. Numerous directors have flocked there to establish their reputation.
2021 is no less unique, as some debuting filmmakers at Cannes are already recognized figures. Notably, Kristen Stewart (“The Chronology of Water”), Scarlett Johansson (“Eleanor the Great”) and Harris Dickinson (“Urchin”) will each premiere their directorial feature debuts in the Un Certain Regard section of Cannes.
Once again, some familiar faces from past Cannes festivals will return, such as Tom Cruise (from Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning), Robert De Niro who is set to receive an honorary Palme d’Or 49 years after the premiere of Taxi Driver in Cannes, and Quentin Tarantino, honoring low-budget Western director George Sherman.
This year’s schedule for Cannes Film Festival has the highly anticipated eighth and concluding chapter of Mission: Impossible set to premiere early, specifically on May 14th. The grand event will unfold under the glamorous glow of a red carpet.
Meanwhile Scarlett’s directorial debut Eleanor The Great, will be unveiled on May 20.

In light of his ongoing legal dispute with ex-costar Blake Lively, it seems unlikely that Justin Baldoni will be present.
Over the past few years, I’ve been utterly captivated by the dazzling spectacle that is the film festival on the Croisette. Frankly, it’s not just the stellar lineup of movies that have me hooked, but the mesmerizing ensembles gracing the red carpet! The celebrity attire has garnered more buzz than any blockbuster screening there. It’s as if these stars are walking runways rather than a film festival!
As a fervent admirer, I can hardly contain my excitement as I prepare to witness the grand unveiling of Amélie Bonnin’s masterpiece, “Leave One Day,” at this week’s opening ceremony. It’s been revealed that, in the name of decorum, some new nudity guidelines will be put into place. As a fan, I can only hope these rules don’t detract from the raw, captivating beauty that Amélie’s work is renowned for.
As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but speculate that the organizers are taking a firm stand against the fashion fad of revealing ensembles, often referred to as ‘naked dresses’, gracing the red carpet. It seems they aim to curb the growing trend of celebrities donning outfits that showcase more than they cover up.
According to a Cannes Festival rule, it’s important to note that showing bare skin (nudity) is not allowed on the red carpet or anywhere else within the festival, for the sake of decency.
At the festival, anyone not adhering to the rules will be prevented from gaining access to the red carpet by the greeting squads.
The latest festival-goers charter unveiled some unexpected changes in its policy – these guidelines were presented as a set of expectations for public conduct at the event.

Visitors are anticipated to gather at the illustrious Grand Auditorium Louis Lumière, where they’ll find a selection of prestigious movie showcases during a bustling seven-day program in Cannes.
It’s clear that the famous location has shifted towards a stricter dress code, leaning towards formal attire such as suits, tuxedos, and long evening gowns rather than bold outfits that might attract attention.
In addition to classic little black dresses, cocktail dresses, pantsuits, fancy blouses, and stylish sandals (either flat or with a heel), these clothing items are acceptable as well.
It’s uncertain whether French TV broadcasters, cautious about showing nudity, may have influenced the initial application of this stricter policy.
Significant movie premieres such as the Cannes Film Festival are broadcasted on French television by France Télévisions.
Lately, the annual event has been drawing more models and social media personalities rather than actors and movie creators. This shift has led to a rise in provocative fashion choices on the red carpet.
2021 saw American supermodel Bella Hadid reveal her décolletage in a deep-necked black dress during the viewing of Tre Piani (Three Floors).
Three years on, she repeated a daring move, leaving attendees of the 2024 gala spellbound when she appeared at the premiere of Donald Trump’s biopic “The Apprentice” without a bra under a see-through brown evening gown.
