Eva Longoria looked stunning in a bold outfit while enjoying a beach day with her husband, José Bastón, in Marbella, Spain on Friday.

Oh my gosh, you guys, did you see Eva Longoria?! Seriously, at 51, she looked absolutely incredible! She was rocking this itty-bitty string bikini, and honestly, the cover-up she had on was barely there – it was like a see-through top, not even a real beach cover-up! She just completely slayed, I can’t even deal!

The actress and her husband were very affectionate during their sunny day out, constantly touching and sharing kisses.

José, dressed casually and looking great, walked hand-in-hand with his beautiful wife. He wore a long-sleeved shirt and dark shorts.

Next month marks ten years of marriage for the couple, and they spent the afternoon soaking up the sun and enjoying each other’s company. They finished the day with a casual lunch at a beach bar.

This trip is a significant occasion for the couple, who moved to Spain with their seven-year-old son, Santiago, in 2023 to start a new life in the Mediterranean sunshine.

The move had sparked rumors, especially following Donald Trump’s 2024 election victory. 

Rumors spread that Eva had left the United States because of the political situation, particularly after she publicly called the country ‘dystopian’ and the comments went viral.

However, Eva’s decision to relocate to Marbella actually came long before Trump’s win. 

In April 2024, a source told the Daily Mail that the family decided to move to Europe primarily to protect their son, Santiago, from the pressures of growing up in the entertainment industry and to provide him with a more normal childhood.

Shortly after the 2024 U.S. elections, Eva explained in an interview why she moved away from California. She said the state’s atmosphere had started to change even before the COVID-19 pandemic began.

The actress said living in Los Angeles for many years had made her feel more and more disappointed and lost her enthusiasm.

As someone who’s always kept an eye on lifestyle trends, I’ve been hearing more and more people express this feeling lately. I’ve lived in LA my entire adult life, and honestly, things just started to shift before the pandemic. It’s not about ‘trashing’ California – I love it here – but it felt like that part of my life was naturally coming to a close, with issues like rising taxes and the growing homelessness crisis contributing to that feeling.

Eva explained that she felt fortunate to be able to leave, but recognizes most Americans aren’t so lucky. She feels deeply for those who are still trapped in what she describes as a difficult situation.

Her honest and blunt remarks about the difficulties of life in America quickly sparked a lot of discussion and guessing on social media.

While many thought Eva’s decision was caused by recent political changes, she maintains it was simply about creating a peaceful life for her family in a new place.

Eva bought her house in Marbella in 2023, and by April 2024, a source told the Daily Mail that she and José were permanently moving out of the United States.

According to a source, the couple wants to raise their son in a natural and beautiful environment, away from the pressures of the Hollywood lifestyle.

They’re relocating to Spain permanently and couldn’t be happier. She feels she’s achieved everything she hoped for in Hollywood.

Even though Eva meant to convey she hadn’t left the U.S. because of a potential second term for Trump, many people still believed that was the reason.

As rumors swirled, Eva found herself needing to set the record straight.

Eva called her friend, Ana Navarro, who was in the middle of recording her podcast, “The View: Behind the Table,” to try and get some clarity.

As soon as Eva found out their conversation would be made public, she asked Ana to clarify something. ‘Please tell everyone I didn’t leave Spain because of Donald Trump,’ Eva requested. ‘I’ve been working in Europe for nearly three years now.’

This follows Jesse Metcalfe, who previously starred with Eva on Desperate Housewives, explaining why he didn’t stay on the show as long as people might have expected.

The 47-year-old actor recently talked about how his career began during an appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast.

You know, when I first landed the role on ‘Desperate Housewives,’ it felt like a real breakthrough. But after that first season, things got tricky. I was actually let go because, as I understand it, the writers just weren’t sure where to take my character’s story next. It’s a tough business, and sometimes those decisions are made when a storyline reaches a natural end, or just doesn’t have a clear path forward. It was definitely a surprise at the time, but looking back, I get it.

Metcalfe portrayed John Rowland, Gabrielle Solis’s passionate love interest and the gardener with whom she had an affair.

He remembered Marc Cherry, the show’s creator, telling him he wouldn’t be a regular cast member anymore. Cherry had explained, ‘This is Desperate Housewives, not a show about gardening, so your role will be changing.’

Despite the setback, Metcalfe wasn’t bothered. 

They kept bringing me back for occasional work, and around that time, I got offered the main role in the movie John Tucker Must Die. I thought, ‘Great, no problem – I’m going to be a movie star!’ He chuckled, showing he wasn’t worried at all about changing careers.
