Euphoria star confirms she won’t return for season 3
As a dedicated fan who has journeyed through the highs and lows of Rue’s life with unwavering loyalty, I must admit that the news about Storm Reid’s departure from Euphoria left me feeling a tad like Gia, lost without her beloved sister in sight. However, I can’t help but feel a pang of excitement for what this new chapter might bring.
Euphoria star Storm Reid has confirmed that she won’t be returning for season 3.
Over the course of the initial two seasons, the actor portrayed Gia Bennett, who was the younger sibling to the main character Rue, played by Zendaya. Remarkably, neither the actor nor their character will return for future episodes, despite their significant role in the series.
Speaking to Rotten Tomatoes on a red carpet, Reid said: “I am very excited for season 3.
Sadly, Gia won’t be back for the third season, but I must express my deep gratitude towards the entire cast and crew of that show, as well as HBO, for their outstanding work.
Euphoria is an extraordinary creation, and it’s heartening that it’s now a part of my lasting impact. It feels incredible to have been involved in something so culturally significant… I’m eagerly anticipating the surprises that await us in season 3.
In a new twist, Season 3 will see a leap forward in time since the actors have grown older, making it difficult for them to convincingly portray teenagers anymore. However, Sydney Sweeney looks forward to embracing this fresh challenge.
“With the time jump, it’s a new process for me,” she said.
I’m making things up as I move along, keeping an open mind about the future. Yet, I can’t hide my enthusiasm! I adore Cassie, and every time I get to portray her, it feels like a rollercoaster ride. So, I’m eagerly anticipating what lies ahead in her journey.
Currently, Casey Bloys, head of HBO, has dismissed speculations about potential delays in the projected early 2025 release date, assuring us that everything remains on track.
He mentioned that we seem to have a kickoff date around mid to late January. The situation remains unaltered; it all began with someone posting something online. Production for the season is underway, and I’ve gone through the scripts. We’re content with how things are going, and we’re proceeding as planned. All our actors are involved in the project now.
We guess that’s almost all the actors.
Euphoria airs on HBO and streams on Max in the US, and on Sky Atlantic and Sky Go/NOW in the UK.
