As a devoted fan of the brilliant Levy dynasty, I am absolutely thrilled at the prospect of seeing Eugene and Dan co-hosting the Emmys four years after their historic win! Their chemistry and wit are simply unparalleled, and I can only imagine the laughter and brilliance they would bring to the stage.

It’s said that Eugene and Dan Levy might collaborate as co-hosts for the 2024 Emmy Awards, marking a return four years later since they made groundbreaking history by winning Emmys in the same year, making them the first father-son pair to achieve this feat.

Currently, the cast of Schitt’s Creek, who played their roles from 2015 to 2020 across six seasons, are in talks about hosting the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 15, which will air on ABC.

The sources have emphasized to us that the talks are still in progress, and it remains uncertain if an agreement will be made.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Dan’s representatives, but have not heard back at this time.

Throughout the passage of time, we’ve collaborated on several ventures, such as sharing the opening monologue at the 2020 SAG Awards and co-hosting Ellen’s show. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside this partner of mine on these memorable occasions.

During the 2021 episode of Saturday Night Live, which Dan, aged 40, hosted, Eugene, who is 77 years old, graced the stage as a guest.

In 2020, the television series Schitt’s Creek received an astonishing 19 Emmy Award nominations. Dan Levy won accolades for his supporting acting role in a comedy series, as well as awards for Outstanding Comedy Series, Writing, and Directing in a Comedy Series.

That year, Eugene took home Best Actor in a Comedy Series.

Earlier, Dan chose to keep a professional distance from his father for five years to prevent people from thinking his achievements were due to nepotism.

In January, he shared that he hid his family background during his early days on MTV Live, aiming to build his own achievements separate from his father’s influence.

He only felt confident enough to collaborate with Eugene on creating Schitt’s Creek once he felt he had established a reputation within the industry.

At a special event for his series, Good Grief, he clarified, “I’ve never asked my father for help with anything.” He added, “I believe there was a piece of him that always questioned why I didn’t turn to him instead.”

‘You know the culture, you know how easy it is to judge people who have grown up in the industry.’

He shared that he attended high school, moved on to college, joined MTV, and during his audition and for the next five years, neither the team at MTV nor anyone else recognized his father.

After creating a bond with the audience and achieving success on TV, I considered myself worthy to join the discussion. That’s when I decided to involve him.

It wasn’t until I completed the work and thought of Schitt’s Creek that I realized I possessed the skills needed to contribute effectively.

Dan went on saying, ‘In such scenarios, you often find yourself needing to put in three times the effort, fairly enough, before you can approach your father and request his assistance, much like what I did.’

Schitt’s Creek premiered in 2015 and continued for six seasons, with its finale airing in 2020.

Eugene’s Johnny Rose, the family patriarch, found himself in a situation where he had to learn the true meaning of being a father and a husband. This was after losing everything they had and left with no choice but to start anew using their only remaining asset – a small, remote town called Schitt’s Creek, which was initially bought as a joke birthday gift.

In the show, Catherine O’Hara, aged 69, portrayed Moira Rose, who was the on-screen spouse. Meanwhile, Annie Murphy, at 37 years old, took on the role of their daughter, Alexis, and Dan played their son, David.
