As a seasoned esports enthusiast with countless hours invested in watching and analyzing matches, I must say that Eternal Fire’s star AWPer Özgür “woxic” Eker has truly earned his stripes. His unwavering focus on victory is as inspiring as it is admirable. The man doesn’t care who his next adversary is in the BetBoom Dacha CS2 2024 playoffs – Spirit or FURIA, they’re just obstacles on the path to glory.
The star AWPer isn’t picky about his next adversaries in the playoffs.
On August 28th, the team Eternal Fire managed to survive elimination in the BetBoom Dacha CS2 2024 playoffs by beating HEROIC 2-0, with scores of 13-7 in the Mirage match.
In their upcoming BetBoom Dacha contest, Eternal Fire will face off against the team that loses in the clash between FURIA and Team Spirit. Although Team Spirit has generally outperformed FURIA during the season, woxic, Eternal Fire’s top AWPer, remains unfazed by who their next opponent might be.
In the post-match interview, Woxic expressed that he has no particular preference for who they face next, stating, “We just need to play and come out victorious against whomever we encounter here.” If it turns out to be Spirit or FURIA, he emphasized that it makes no difference; their focus remains on playing their best game and securing a win over them.
woxic isn’t picky at this point in the tournament.
Following the removal of HEROIC from the competition, just six squads remain in the BetBoom Dacha playoffs. Earlier today, Virtus.pro ousted Falcons from the tournament.
Here’s the rest of woxic’s post-match interview with Xpsp
Post-match interview with Eternal Fire woxic
You had a good match against HEROIC today. Did you expect Mirage, the first map, to be so one-sided? You won the first half by 11-1 on CT-side.
If we had executed our Counter-Strike strategies effectively on the CT-side, I expected the outcome to be in our favor. However, due to minor errors we consistently make on Mirage’s CT-side, I didn’t anticipate such a lopsided victory for us.
How are you and the rest of the Eternal Fire players feeling in terms of energy? You played a bunch of matches between BetBoom Dacha and the online qualifier for IEM Rio?
Initially, we had a lot of vitality for the first two days, but on the third day, we competed in three maps across two separate competitions all at once, leaving us feeling quite drained by the end. However, despite our fatigue, we managed to maintain a positive spirit. If we can sustain this energy tomorrow, there’s no one we can’t defeat.
