ESL bans Krad for skin with racist craft

The player has received a two-week ban.

9Pandas’ player, Vladislav “Krad” Kravchenko, is facing a two-week suspension from the ESL Challenger League (ECL) Season 49: Europe. This punishment follows Krad’s use of an inappropriate in-game skin adorned with disrespectful stickers during a match on January 21st.

The Desert Eagle skin featured a collection of stickers arranged to spell out an explicit term. This detail was overlooked until content creator Ludvig “quacke” Nilsson brought it to light on platform X. This revelation ignited a wave of criticism within the CS:GO community, leading ESL to intervene.

Krad and 9Pandas’ statement prior to the ESL ban

Before the announcement of ESL’s ban, Krad posted an explanation on his X account about the situation. In this post, Krad stated that he had purchased the skin not long ago and didn’t catch the inappropriate comment because he plays using a left-hand model for which the skin is mirrored.

9Pandas, led by Krad, eventually released a Russian statement from their group. In this statement, they expressed remorse for the occurrence and pledged to augment their pre-game scrutinies. Moreover, they plan to educate their team members to avoid recurrences of such incidents in the future.

9Pandas emphasized that the skin had been overlooked because of carelessness and the previously mentioned left-handed design. Upon spotting the skin, Krad swiftly removed it and voiced remorse.

Krad’s suspension from ESL will impact our team during ECL Season 49. The management has stated that Anton “tonyblack” Kolesnikov will temporarily replace Krad, who recently joined us. It is expected that Krad will rejoin the team after serving out his ban.
