In the upcoming movie titled “Jurassic World: Rebirth“, fear is set to return to the world of “Jurassic Park” as the franchise’s most recognized dinosaur will once again strike terror. As the seventh installment in the popular dinosaur series, “Rebirth” promises a plethora of spine-tingling scenes. The story unfolds on an isolated island, the original site for the first Jurassic Park research facility, which now houses mutated dinosaurs that were cast out from the park, resulting in some strange creatures that have managed to survive.

In the newly released preview, the upcoming movie showcases numerous terrifying hybrid creatures, such as the D-Rex, modeled after the rancor from _Star Wars_ and the xenomorph from _Alien_. Yet, it also includes several classic dinosaurs like the Tyrannosaurus Rex. Remarkably, the T-Rex is set to be part of the movie’s most heart-pounding moment, where the creature pursues a family on a raft along a river. This promises to be an exciting sequence and seems poised to make the T-Rex appear menacing once more, as the last trilogy shifted the monster’s portrayal in a different direction.

In contrast, the Jurassic World series leveraged the T-Rex’s popularity by featuring it in epic battles, but interestingly enough, these films also transformed the creature into an unintentional hero.

In the recently released trailer for “Jurassic World: Rebirth”, we witness an exhilarating river chase involving a family aboard a raft, with the relentless T-Rex in pursuit. As they frantically paddle downstream, the T-Rex swims menacingly beneath them, eventually overturning their raft. The family is forced to swim away, with the T-Rex hot on their heels, barely missing them as it lunges at them in the water. This nerve-wracking sequence underscores just how cunning and dangerous the T-Rex truly is.

The scene under discussion is originally found in Michael Crichton’s Jurassic Park novel, however, it didn’t make it into Steven Spielberg’s 1993 movie adaptation. In an interview with Variety, David Koepp – who wrote Rebirth and contributed to the original screenplay – mentioned that they simply had no space for the raft scene in the initial film, but he is now looking forward to incorporating it.
