Phil Robertson, famously known from Duck Dynasty, passed away at the age of 79, as announced by his daughter-in-law, Korie Robertson, on Facebook yesterday.
Korie posted on Facebook that we’re rejoicing today because our beloved patriarch, Phil Robertson, has joined the Lord. She shared that he frequently emphasized the words of Paul: “We don’t mourn as those without hope.
As a devoted believer, I hold firm to the conviction that Jesus sacrificed himself and was resurrected. Consequently, I have faith that God will reunite Jesus with those who have passed on, sharing this eternal life with them.
Korie mentioned that her spiritual father-in-law often stressed the idea that death is a return to the realm of God.
She thanked people who had prayed for Phil, who dealt with Alzheimer’s disease in his final months.

She expressed, ‘We appreciate his time here on Earth and intend to carry on his tradition of loving God and fellow humans, looking forward to reuniting with him in the future.’
Korie said the Robertson family would continue to remember their late patriarch.
She mentioned that many of you hold a deep affection for him and have been significantly influenced by his existence. Currently, we’re holding a private ceremony, but rest assured, we’ll disclose information shortly about a public event honoring his life.
One person commented with joy: “He’s overjoyed today as he’s now meeting Jesus personally! After running a good race in life, he’s receiving his due rewards. I send my wishes for tranquility, solace, and fortitude during these moments.
To be truthful, I found Phil to be much like a wise grandfather of America, imparting timeless insights and guidance that he hoped would be carried forward for future generations.
