In this tale, there are no surprises ahead for next week’s grand finale of “The Voice” Season 27. However, if you didn’t catch the live shows, you can watch them on demand with a subscription to Peacock.

Currently, the voting for “The Voice” Season 27 has ended, and the tallied results will reveal the winner on the live broadcast airing May 20 in the 2025 TV schedule. The contestants submitted their final work on Monday, when they performed two songs during Part 1 of the finale (which I evaluated and shared my thoughts on who should win). Now, only a glamorous celebration awaits them before they can claim the “The Voice” trophy, an event that will feature Kelly Clarkson gracing the stage once more on “The Voice”.

The “Since U Been Gone” singer hasn’t coached on The Voice since 2023, when she returned to help bid Blake Shelton adieu on his final season (more on him in a bit), and while I am happy that Adam Levine has at least brought the legacy of winning back to the coaching panel, words simply do not express how much I’ve missed Kelly Clarkson. She promoted her comeback on Instagram Stories, posting:

In the previous season’s finale, the victor of “American Idol” graced the stage once more, performing “You for Christmas” in 2024. I can hardly wait for another opportunity to witness this exceptional guest performer!

Kelly Clarkson will sing her fresh track titled “Where Have You Been,” which is from her upcoming album. This tune was influenced by the TV series “Only Murders in the Building,” specifically, a line that the character Oliver, played by Martin Short, tells Loretta, portrayed by Meryl Streep, on this murder-mystery show (streamable with a Hulu subscription).

This season of “The Voice” has been particularly remarkable due to the comeback of original coach Adam Levine after a 10-year break. I’m thrilled that more of our favorite coaches are set to appear tonight, as not only Kelly Clarkson, but also Blake Shelton will grace the stage again!

It’s as if three out of every four members of my Voice fantasy coaching team are under the same roof – that would be Kelly, Adam, and Blake!

It appears that Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson needed a break from “The Voice” after their last coaching roles in 2023, as suggested by their statements. The cowboy mentioned taking a year off following his 23-season stint, while Kelly Clarkson has openly discussed her struggles on the show prior to moving her family (and “The Kelly Clarkson Show”) to the East Coast.

Considering everything, I’m delighted that Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson might be back in some role, but since The Voice has already revealed its Season 28 coaches, I’ll try not to speculate too much about their possible return.

As a movie enthusiast, I’d highly recommend checking out Peacock TV! For just $7.99 a month or $79.99 annually, you can gain access to some of NBC’s hottest shows like The Voice. If you’re looking for an ad-free experience and the ability to download titles for offline viewing, consider opting for Peacock Premium at a slightly higher cost. Don’t miss out on these fantastic offerings – dive into Peacock TV today!

Besides being graced by the two most successful coaches in the competition’s history, we have Alicia Keys and Chance the Rapper lined up for tonight’s performance. Also, Foreigner, James Bay accompanied by Sheryl Crow, Joe Jonas, and Season 22 winner Bryce Leatherwood will be performing as well.

The whole thing begins at 8 p.m. Eastern Time (ET). First, we’ll have a summary of last night’s performances. Then, the two-hour celebration will start at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 20th. You can catch it all on NBC, and if you miss it, don’t worry! It will be available for streaming the next day on Peacock.
