The creator of the series Motorheads, Johnny Norris, has provided fresh insights into the possibility of a second season. This exciting blend of racing action and family drama debuted on Amazon Prime Video on May 20, 2025. The story revolves around twins Caitlyn (portrayed by Melissa Collazo) and Zac (played by Michael Cimino from Until Dawn), who go back to their small-town home to uncover the mystery behind their father, Christian Maddox’s disappearance following a bank heist. In the process, they rekindle Zac’s passion for street racing in Ironwood, Pennsylvania.
Beyond exploring Caitlyn and Zac’s mission to uncover their father’s past, the series Motorheads also delved into significant plotlines. For instance, Zac’s fierce competition with Harris in street racing, his developing feelings for Alicia Whitaker (played by Mia Healey), the strengthening relationship between Zac and his uncle Logan, and Ironwood’s financial hardships were all major highlights.
Motorheads TV Show Creator Confirms Season 2 Is Already Written
The television series, titled “Motorheads“, concluded with a suspenseful cliffhanger, as it left uncertain the destiny of one of its principal figures. Moreover, it presented more mysteries than solutions regarding the events that transpired on the night Christian Maddox vanished.
Although Amazon Prime Video hasn’t announced a second season for “Motorheads”, its creator, John A. Norris, has indicated on his platform (previously known as Twitter) that the script for Season 2 has already been penned down, in response to a fan’s question.
Motorheads fan: “New fan, keep the show going please lol don’t just one season us…love brother”
John A. Norris: “Thanks! Fingers crossed. Season two is written.”
In the show, Caitlyn shows great enthusiasm for cars, however, in reality, actress Melissa Collazo hasn’t acquired her driver’s license as of now.
If Motorheads gets renewed for another season, I’m excited to share that I might be taking my driver’s license test on Season 2, Episode 2, thanks to a heads-up from Norris.
As a movie enthusiast, I eagerly anticipate if we’re lucky enough for a second season. In the second episode, Caitlyn attempts her driver’s license test, which is already set in the script. Here’s hoping that by then, Melissa has passed hers too!
Beyond her passion for cars, “Motorheads” Season 1 delved into Caitlyn’s evolving sexuality as she formed a deep connection with her schoolmate, Kiara Gibbons (Johnna Dias-Watson). Throughout the first season, there was an undercurrent of tension between them, yet their relationship remained largely unaddressed.
Prior to the possibility of a second season, Norris revealed an intriguing piece of news regarding Kiara, emphasizing that she will play a significant role in both seasons.
Beyond the main characters, the series Motorheads also presented a new mechanic, Curtis (Uriah Shelton), and his elder sibling, Ray (Drake Rodger).
When queried about whether Alicia, Ray, and Harris might appear in a possible Motorheads Season 2, Norris remains silent on the matter, hinting that it could be considered a spoiler.
“That answer is potentially a spoiler. Ask me again after you watch the entire season.”
Motorheads Season 2 Hopes Shared by Actors Amid Release Demand
As a die-hard movie enthusiast, I’ve been eagerly waiting for updates on “Motorheads” since the series finale left us hanging. Recently, the talented cast members of this high-octane racing family drama have hinted at their ideas for a potential Season 2. Here’s what they’ve shared about what they’d like to see if we’re lucky enough to get more action on the track!
In the final episode of Season 1, it was unveiled that Zac opted to deceive Alicia by providing Logan with the codes to steal her father’s valuable vehicles, after which he discovered this betrayal. Given these circumstances, it seems unlikely that Alicia and Zac will have a future together in Season 2.
In a chat with Blavity TV, actor Michael Cimino from the series Motorheads discussed the “extremely unusual” finale of Season 1, hinting that Zac’s character will undoubtedly experience significant changes following his act of treachery against Alicia.
“I believe the finale was quite a spectacular event, and witnessing it live made it even more thrilling. It was certainly mind-blowing! Many questions remain unanswered. I can hardly wait to see how John A. Norris revives this storyline in Season 2. The ending presents us with a massive cliffhanger, as we’re left wondering why Zac did what he did. I’m convinced that Alicia and Zac will both be significantly affected by the recent events, and Harris too, judging from the dramatic moment they just experienced. So, there are quite a few changes that have taken place in a single instant.”
Additionally, Cimino shared enthusiasm over speculating how Season 2 might unfold based on the pivotal choices made by his character in the final episode.
I’m really looking forward to finding out where our story continues in Season 2, should there be a second season, as we further develop these characters during this fresh chapter in their lives.
In the same interview, Melissa Collazo expressed her hope that Caitlyn might drive a car in a potential Season 2, describing it as a “logical progression” or “inevitable step” for her character.
“I’m excited about the possibility of Season 2. It seems like a logical progression to me, and I hope we get to see it unfold. However, I’m not sure how Zach would react since there might be some overlap in our roles. In the show, she reminds him that each of us should stay in our own lane. So, if she were to start ‘driving,’ as it were, it could add an amusing layer to their dynamic. Personally, I’d find it quite intriguing.”
In Motorheads Season 1, the love for automobiles that Caitlyn harbors is vividly showcased. Notably, she assists Zac, Curtis, and Marcel in restoring a vehicle – one that her father had previously used.
Collazo noted that a playful competition between Caitlyn and Zac adds an interesting dimension to their relationship, particularly since Zac faced challenges during the first season of the show. If Caitlyn becomes a driver in Season 2, she might explore the realm of street racing down the line as well.
Additionally, Blavity TV had a conversation with Mia Healey regarding her expectations for Alicia in Season 2 after the startling disclosure about Zac’s part in the car robbery incident.
Initially, Healey discussed the intricate relationship she shares with Harris, hinting that the conclusion of Season 1 paves the way for a highly “complicated” narrative in Season 2 for her persona.
The first season certainly lays the groundwork for Season 2 to be intricate and multilayered. The relationships are deeply complex, particularly between Harris and Alicia. They have a rich history together, which gives them an exceptional level of understanding and emotional connection. Their bond goes far beyond casual acquaintanceship, and it’s deep-rooted in shared past experiences that foster a strong intimacy.
Healey additionally shared insights into Alicia’s unique and lovely encounter with Zac, yet remained secretive regarding the future of their relationship in Season 2.
However, Zac’s unfamiliar experiences shed a fresh perspective on her, prompting a sense of self-pride and inviting her to embrace an extraordinary, unique encounter. Yet, the series finale’s dramatic crash leaves her in a predicament, making it difficult for her to end things with them now…
In the potential second season of “Motorheads”, Alicia’s relationship with Zac could offer a captivating plotline. Since she has already discovered Zac’s role, it remains unclear whether she will choose to confess to the police or address him face-to-face before taking any action.
In the suspenseful finale of the series, Harris’ future remains uncertain following a car accident. However, Josh Macqueen disclosed that his character found himself in such a predicament due to an unresolved feud he had with Zac.
Throughout the course of the season, Harris tends to focus single-mindedly on one goal. Whenever Zach appears, Harris momentarily loses sight of Alicia and pursues something that ultimately harms him. It’s a bit unsettling to discuss spoilers, but by the climactic event, Harris is present due to his inability to let go of this rivalry.
If Harris manages to live on, Macqueen expresses his hope that his character comes to understand what truly matters most to him – beyond just winning a race.
Through Zac’s simple existence, items have been taken from him, leaving him wondering what he possesses. Harris inquires in the pilot episode if Zac has anything to lose, to which he replies, ‘I don’t.’ Alicia then asks, ‘What about you?’ Here’s hoping that as we move forward into a potential Season 2, Zac may have learned that there is more to life than just winning a race, but only time will tell.
Moving on to Alicia, it has been confirmed that Motorheads revealed her family is affluent and making efforts to enhance Ironwoods. However, the show did not clarify her specific position regarding their vast wealth or how involved she is in the betterment of the small town.
Healy acknowledged that she was keen on delving deeper into her relationship dynamics with her family, particularly focusing on her father’s decision-making processes.
I’m really looking forward to delving deeper into her relationship with her father and the factors influencing his decisions in a potential second season. It’s up to our showrunner, John A. Norris, to determine where those storylines might lead.
In conclusion, the actress remarked that her character perceives Alicia as not completely agreeing with her father’s choice. She also noted that, despite enjoying certain advantages, her character feels distinctly unique.
She seems ambivalent about it, not completely on board yet, but not opposed either. It’s a complicated situation for her, as she feels both connected and detached at the same time. She understands her privileged position in life and the workings of the world around her, but there’s a sense of otherness, a feeling of not fully belonging. This is particularly true when it comes to her father’s business and the values associated with it, although it’s hard to say for sure.
Although it remains uncertain if Motorheads will have a second season, a decision about its renewal might be made soon. It’s important to remember that this series just debuted on the streaming platform not long ago.
Despite some passage of time, the television series “Motorheads,” spearheaded by Michael Cimino, is thriving in terms of viewership on Prime Video’s U.S. TV Show Rankings. On May 22 and 23, 2025, it ranked first, while it took the second spot on May 24 and 25, 2025.
