Mariska Hargitay appeared to draw inspiration from classic Hollywood elegance while gracing the Foundation for AIDS Research gala in Cannes on Thursday evening.
The 61-year-old actress, who’s currently attending the film festival, has been publicizing her documentary titled “My Mom Jayne.” This movie focuses on her late, iconic mother, Jayne Mansfield, known for her striking blond hair.
Actress from Law & Order: SVU was spotted wearing an elegant, silver-bead adorned white dress with a halter neck and a brief train, designed by the French fashion brand, Paule Ka (often referred to as Patou).
To maintain her timeless elegance, the Emmy-winning individual sported a polished, high-class bun made from her rich, chestnut-colored hair. She opted to accentuate her innate charm by applying a sultry smoky eye, a touch of blush, and a subtle pink lipstick.
Hargitay adorned her look with Chopard-sponsored diamond earrings, rings, a bracelet, and a handbag for the gala event.
On social media, she expressed gratitude towards Georgi Sandev, her makeup artist, and David von Cannon, her hairstylist, for assisting her in looking flawless for the charity event.
57-year-old Peter Hermann exuded elegance, sporting a sleek black suit and matching shirt that beautifully accentuated his stylish mix of salt and pepper hair and beard.
For over two decades, this pair, bound by matrimony and parenting three children, exhibited the exuberance of honeymooners, entwining fingers as they navigated towards the legendary Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc.
As I proudly share this heartwarming moment on social media, I find myself beaming alongside my beloved Hermann, as we both don our bridal attire. Using the popular hashtag #isaidyes, a favorite among soon-to-be brides, I announce to the world the joyous news of our engagement.
The pair met when Hermann was a guest star on SVU in 2002.
In the year 2006, their son August made his arrival, while in 2011, they welcomed daughter Amaya and another son named Andrew, who are now 13 years old, into their family through adoption.
On Thursday evening, while the three children were along with their parents in Cannes, it was an unusual occasion for their parents to have a night out together in public.
In a show of appreciation, Hargitay expressed gratitude to the charitable group AMFAR for their exceptional efforts in the battle against the worldwide AIDS crisis.
Ever since its establishment in 1985, amfAR has managed to gather over $920 million for its initiatives and bestowed over 3,800 research grants to global teams, as per their official site.

Hargitay directed and produced the documentary My Mom Jayne.
On May 17, the heartfelt letter penned to her deceased mother (who tragically passed away in a car accident in 1967) garnered a four-minute standing ovation following its screening.
In his review, Pete Hammond from Deadline notes that the movie features a heartwarmingly emotional conclusion that could bring tears to your eyes. He also describes it as an exhilarating journey, a vivid portrayal of life, and an extraordinarily unique film.
My Mom Jayne will begin streaming on Max June 27.
