At the amfAR Gala during the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday, Elena Perminova seemed to disregard the festival’s recent ‘modesty’ guidelines by choosing an audacious outfit without a bra.
At the high-profile event, well-known attendees have donned subtle fashion styles on the red carpet over the past few years. However, this year, there’s a strict prohibition against such nude outfits due to newly implemented rules.
Nevertheless, Elena, a 38-year-old Russian model, seemed to disregard the rules as she chose not to wear a bra when attending the yearly charity event, an event that is customary at Cannes.
She proudly displayed her stunning physique in a white gown featuring a see-through bodice adorned with intricate cherub embroidery across her chest.
Elena swept a feathered shawl over her arms and added to her frame with a pair of peep-toe heels.

She carried her necessities in a compact, round-handled white handbag, exuding confidence as she gracefully walked across the carpet.
TopMob has contacted Elena’s representatives and Cannes for comment.
In recent times, the attire of celebrities at Cannes has garnered almost as much, if not more, interest compared to the lineup of movies shown on the Croisette.
Each year, the event tends to draw in more models and social influencers than actors and movie creators. This shift has led to a rise in daring red-carpet fashion trends.
But new nudity rules, for the ‘sake of decency’, have been implemented at this year’s festival.
Organizers explain that the strict policy aims to curb the popularity of revealing ‘semi-nude’ attire, which is characterized by minimal coverage and a focus on exposing rather than hiding, on the red carpet.
According to a document from the Cannes Film Festival, it’s important to maintain proper decorum, so no one is allowed to be bare or naked on the red carpet or anywhere else at the festival.
At the festival, it’s crucial that only those adhering to the rules will be allowed on the red carpet, as the ushers are mandated to enforce this restriction.

It is clear that the well-known establishment has shifted towards a more traditional dress code, favoring formal attire such as suits, tuxedos, and long evening gowns instead of eye-catching outfits in the spotlight.
In addition to classic little black dresses, semi-formal cocktail dresses, pantsuits, fancy blouses, and sophisticated sandals (either flat or with heels), are all acceptable options.
It’s unclear whether French TV broadcasters, cautious about showing nudity, may have influenced the enactment of this stricter policy for the first time.
Significant high-profile gatherings like the Cannes Film Festival are broadcasted on French television by France Television.
