The Austin mansion owned by Emma Stone is now up for sale at a price of $26.5 million, even though it’s currently in the midst of some final restoration work.

36-year-old Oscar winner, whose latest film Eddington received a standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival, bought a property in Tarrytown back in 2021, but the purchase price remains undisclosed.

For the past three years, the actress and her husband Dave McCary had been refurbishing an estate, planning to relocate their family there. However, they unexpectedly decided against going ahead with this plan.

Eric Moreland, a realtor at Moreland Properties/Forbes Global Properties, mentioned that the couple’s professional commitments in New York are currently keeping them there. However, their aspirations point towards relocating to Austin at some point down the line.

The spacious house, stretching over approximately 1.25 acres, has about 4 bedrooms within its main structure.

Additionally, the property features a two-bedroom guesthouse and a generously sized three-car garage equipped with a private screening room upstairs.

Built back in the 1940s, this grand residence features not only spacious living quarters but also includes a refreshing swimming pool designed for residents to beat the summer heat, as well as a cozy hot tub.

The yard at the back features a path made of soil, lined with greenery including plants and trees, that guides you towards the swimming pool area as well as other sections of the house.

A covered outdoor space offers plenty of room for entertaining and also has a kitchen space.  

The facade showcases distinctly Georgian features, boasting grand white columns at the entryway and window panes framed by dark shades.

The kitchen and living area share a spacious, interconnected layout, while much of the home features hardwood flooring throughout.

Inside the grand house, you’ll find another kitchen area equipped with a spacious island and windows providing views of the outdoor scenery.

In 2022, Stone didn’t hesitate to make a move in the property market by listing her Malibu residence. Surprisingly enough, it was quickly snapped up only a month later for a whopping $4.4 million.

In the previous year, Emma additionally listed her property in Los Angeles for sale. It was snapped up just two weeks later at a price of $4.3 million.

As reported by Realtor.com, the actress from the film Easy A and her spouse are known to possess a luxury apartment in Manhattan that is valued approximately at $12 million.

The pair – who tied the knot back in 2020 – are also parents to a daughter named Louise, four. 

Stone, who’s been quite active lately, graced the 2025 Cannes Film Festival with her presence to publicize her forthcoming work named Eddington.

This Western comedy additionally features Pedro Pascal, Austin Butler, Joaquin Phoenix, Luke Grimes, and Deirdre O’Connell in its star-studded cast.

Ari Aster is the writer and director behind the movie, and he’s recognized for other films including Hereditary and Midsommar.

Over the weekend’s press conference at Cannes, the filmmaker shared insights into the factors that inspired him to write the screenplay for Eddington.

He mentioned that he penned the movie while experiencing dread and apprehension over the state of the world, and his intention was to depict the sensation of existing in a realm where people cannot concur on reality’s authenticity. (This is according to The Hollywood Reporter.)

Over the past two decades, we’ve found ourselves immersed in an era characterized by extreme self-centeredness… I sought to create a movie capturing the essence of America during this period, and my impression was disheartening.

‘I’m very worried. We need to re-engage with each other. That’s the only hope,’ Aster added. 

Last Friday at the film festival, we screened Eddington, which received a prolonged seven-minute standing ovation from the audience.

In a Vanity Fair video, Aster could be seen choking up due to the warm response, and he took the opportunity to address the audience.

Moments ago on the crimson carpet, an amusing incident unfolded as Emma, alongside fellow actors Austin Butler and Pedro Pascal, struck a pose together.

At some point, a bee headed straight for Stone’s face, eliciting a startled response from the actress and making her lean back. Pascal and Butler quickly stepped in to shoo the bee off so they could continue photographing.
