Meanwhile, it’s been said that Oasis has started rehearsing in London for their eagerly anticipated reunion tour, but one part of the band’s notoriously contentious duo is getting ready in a more laid-back location – on the French Riviera (Côte d’Azur).
This week, Liam Gallagher, who’s 52, shared an Instagram story featuring the sunlit entrance to his newly acquired French villa, complete with a carefree guitar propped up on a nearby wall.
Spectators swiftly recognized that it was the very melody he strummed in the music video for his 2002 heartfelt ballad ‘Songbird’, a tune dedicated to his girlfriend at the time, Nicole Appleton.
In response to a Twitter user inquiring, “Is that the guitar from your Songbird music video?”, Liam answered affirmatively, saying, “Yes, it is.” When another user asked if he was practicing with it, Liam, who used to be the lead singer of Oasis, confirmed, “I certainly am.
The villa under discussion isn’t your typical vacation spot. Liam has recently acquired a centuries-old property, dating back to the 18th century, situated in Grasse – famously known as the global hub of perfumery – at a cost of approximately £3 million.
As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share that the grand, three-storied residence with six bedrooms once belonged to a renowned television host, Noel Edmonds. He had put up this property for sale at an asking price of £4 million before he decided to move to New Zealand.

This place boasts a swimming pool, olive groves, an in-house vineyard, as well as various carvings bearing the name ‘Noel’. Interestingly enough, this is also the name shared by Liam’s separated sibling and musical companion.
In 2025, The Oasis is set to reunite for a tour that spans across the UK, US, South America, and Asia – marking a reunion 15 years following their contentious breakup in 2009.
As a result, there were prolonged periods of bitter exchanges – verbal jabs both during performances and online – between the Gallagher siblings.
However, according to PJ Harrison’s latest book The Fall and Rise of Oasis, it was Liam who took the initiative to mend fences, as a music industry insider stated: ‘He has a knack for reconciliation. He is the one who can bring things back in harmony.’
Liam himself has suggested this in a past post, saying, ‘I reached out to Noel, but please keep it our secret since I don’t want people to think I’m overly sentimental. Let’s keep it just between us, thanks x.’
Regardless of their stormy past, the siblings are coming together for the ‘Live ’25’ tour, signifying thirty years since the debut of Oasis’s iconic album, “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”.
The rehearsals are now underway in London, with Noel taking charge, joined by his frequent partners in music-making, Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell, and the keyboardist, Mikey Rowe.
Next month, it’s likely that Liam will participate in the practice sessions early, as the tour officially begins on July 4th in Cardiff.
