Erin McNaught reveals heartbreaking news about her nine month old baby: ‘We are absolutely shattered’

Erin McNaught, an Australian model, and her partner Stace Cadet announced heartbreaking news about their 9-month-old son, Obi Brooks Kotaras. They disclosed that little Obi has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.

On Thursday morning, the pair who became parents for the first time together in October of last year, shared a heartfelt joint statement, revealing their deep sorrow and concern due to Obi’s current health struggles.

Over these past several weeks, I’ve found myself increasingly concerned about the noticeable shift in Obi’s demeanor and joy – it’s as if my beloved friend has lost his sparkle.

‘He was having problems eating, sleeping and most recently, keeping his head straight.’

Under the guidance of their doctor, they decided to take Obi for an MRI scan after observing concerning alterations.

An earlier-this-week scan uncovered a startling finding – a substantial brain tumor situated on the right hemisphere of his brain.

Around 6:00 pm on Tuesday evening, we had a meeting with a neurosurgeon who shared some devastating news.

We are absolutely shattered and the last few days have been our hardest days.’ 

Previously crowned Miss Universe Australia, along with her companion, lauded the dedicated staff at Queensland Children’s Hospital, as they collaborate with them in formulating an appropriate treatment strategy.

At the Queensland Children’s Hospital, our dedicated team is truly remarkable. We are optimistic that we can successfully remove the mass and help Obi recover to a state of good health and happiness, as we await the test results.

The post has since received an outpouring of supportive messages from family, friends, and fans, even from Erin’s former spouse, namely Example.

This alarming news comes after an initially blissful parenting experience for Erin and Stace, who first announced the birth of their child only to Daily Mail Australia in December.

The couple shared at the time that they had named him Obi and were over the moon to bring him home.

‘We are so in love with him, we can’t believe he’s finally here,’ Stace said in December. .

It’s accurate to say that we didn’t have much rest upon arriving home from the hospital last night, primarily due to the fact that we just can’t seem to stop looking at him.

Previously, the former MTV host has shared details about her challenging pregnancy, disclosing that it was a delicate situation with health issues arising during the last three months.
