Erin Doherty, known for her television work in shows like The Crown and Adolescence, is now making her way into film. The actress, who also stars in A Thousand Blows, has been cast in Faith, a new and exciting British drama.
According to Variety, Rose Doherty and James McAvoy will star in the new film from director Paul Andrew Williams. Williams is known for his recent mystery thriller, Dragonfly.
The film Faith centers on Gina, a dedicated single mother, and her encounter with Michael, a mysterious and intriguing man. His apparent care for her adds a fresh and captivating element to her life.
What to Read Next
The story follows her even though she knows absolutely nothing about this man – or what he wants from her. Is he simply a friend, a possible romantic interest, or does he have hidden, dangerous motives?
When Gina’s world is unexpectedly disrupted and the truth about Michael’s remarkable identity comes to light, she discovers a chance to rediscover joy and truly live life to the fullest.

I’m so excited to hear that Liv Hill and Smylie Bradwell are joining the cast alongside Doherty and McAvoy! Dominic Tighe and Danny Page are producing, which is awesome. Apparently, they’ve already started filming, but we’ll have to wait a bit for a release date, sadly.
Williams shared that ‘Faith’ is a very personal project for them. It’s a story about resilience and optimism, grounded in everyday life but touched by a mysterious, guiding force that feels beyond our understanding.
I feel incredibly lucky to be working with such a skilled and dedicated cast and crew who truly believe in this film’s message. It’s been a real pleasure collaborating with Erin Doherty and James McAvoy – their dedication makes every scene better.

Stephen Kelliher from Bankside Films and Andrei Kamarowsky from Logical both expressed their long-standing appreciation for Paul’s exceptional skill, and they were thrilled to work with him on Faith.
This captivating story showcases his talent for blending genres in surprising ways, constantly keeping you guessing. It’s filled with deep emotion, and the fantastic cast he’s chosen will bring it to life beautifully.
Faith has no release date.
