Epic Universe Opening Live Blog: I’m Reacting To Universal Orlando Resort’s New Theme Park, The Blue Carpet And More

Approximately 25 years have passed since a freshly minted major American theme park made its public debut. Tomorrow marks the grand opening of Epic Universe, and Universal Orlando Resort is hosting a celebration to commemorate the event tonight. TopMob is physically present in Orlando for the grand opening festivities, but we’re also keeping tabs on the live stream, which includes the Blue Carpet event filled with celebrities and excitement.

Tonight marks an exciting milestone for the world of theme parks as Epic Universe is set to debut. A few months back, I had the chance to take a peek at Epic Universe before its grand opening, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience it tomorrow. It’s hard to believe we’ve arrived at this moment. Just a short while ago, whispers of a third Universal Orlando theme park seemed like mere speculation. Now, here it is, ready for visitors to enjoy!

In a few moments, we’re set to start the live stream for the grand opening celebration of Epic Universe. Various stars have been present in the last couple of days, presumably to ‘unveil’ gateways to diverse realms. So, it’s likely that these celebrities will make an appearance on the red carpet. As for how the new park will be revealed, we’ll just have to wait and see, but it promises to be exciting!

During my visit to Epic Universe, I sampled every attraction they had to offer, but what truly left me yearning for a return trip was the overall ambiance of the park. It’s those moments when you’re not actively participating in an activity that often make a theme park truly special. Unfortunately, it seems we might miss capturing that unique feeling tonight, given how likely it is that the event will be extremely crowded.

The live stream has officially begun at 6:00 ET. As expected with any live event, things aren’t fully underway just yet. In the meantime, we’re enjoying some fantastic tunes from the park – a pleasant wait indeed!

Is there a chance we might hear about an expansion for Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe, or their next major project, tonight? It wouldn’t surprise me if they announced a new land inspired by Wicked, or if they revealed what will replace Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, before the night is over.
