One delightful aspect of launching a theme park is that it’s filled with unique first-time experiences. For instance, there was only one inaugural day for Epic Universe, the first time the carousel illuminated at night, and only one visitor who can claim they savored the first mac & cheese cone. As more guests discover Universal’s brand new theme park each day, numerous exciting milestones are bound to be reached. However, among my favorites so far is an accomplishment related to Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment.
Gregory Hall, the Creative Director at Monsters Unchained within Dark Universe, has shared details about a significant milestone achieved by their ride – surpassing 1 million riders. In commemoration of this momentous event, he highlighted the exceptional work of his team on Twitter and discussed what makes the ride unique just two months after its launch.
As a movie reviewer, I’d like to take a moment to give a big shoutout to the fantastic operations team who’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes. And for those who may have heard rumors about the pre-show on the ride with the incredible Frankenstein animatronic not functioning, rest assured – it’s all good! The preshow is up and running, just as it should be. Enjoy the show!
Instead of Dirk Libbey from TopMob claiming the Ministry of Magic attraction is the finest ride at Epic Universe, I’d offer a different perspective. In my opinion, The Frankenstein Experiment steals the spotlight. With its location in one of the park’s most captivating lands and boasting an impressive 14 animatronics that surprise with their sudden appearances (and convincing movements), it’s hard to deny its appeal. Unlike certain other Universal rides, it doesn’t induce nausea!
In the course of the conversation, it was confirmed that Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment became the first ride in the newly opened theme park to surpass 1 million riders. This makes sense given that the line for this Darkmoor-themed attraction is one of the most streamlined within the park, and it’s a ride that many visitors are eager to experience multiple times. Therefore, the high number of riders coupled with the strong desire to ride translates to a successful milestone achievement.
If you’re an enthusiast of this ride, it’s thrilling to witness it in the spotlight just a few months after the park’s grand opening. For those planning to visit the new park soon, even if you feel a bit apprehensive, don’t let that deter you from experiencing this fantastic adventure. However, I highly recommend checking out some useful tips and tricks that could have been helpful before embarking on your Epic journey.
