Epic hit streaming show has confirmed long-awaited news but fans have one request

Enthusiasts of a renowned fantasy saga, following the announcement from its producers, are now making a single plea.

It’s been announced that “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” will return for a third season, set some years following the dramatic occurrences in season two.

On Instagram, the official page for the Prime Video series gave a sneak peek at what viewers might anticipate in the forthcoming episodes.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power – Season 3: Skipping ahead a few years from the events of Season 2, Season 3 unfolds during the peak of the War between Elves and Sauron. In this season, Sauron is on a mission to create the One Ring, which he believes will give him the decisive advantage needed to finally conquer all of Middle-earth.

People responded swiftly to the post, expressing their enthusiasm and often asking for additional episodes per season, urgently.

Could you please create at least 10 episodes for each season? I find it quite challenging to only have 6-8 episodes and then having to wait a long time for more.

In simpler terms, they clarified that when referring to the timeline of the story, they don’t intend for the season to air several years after that. Instead, they are looking forward to watching it as early as mid-2026 at the latest.

A third commented: “But when?? We shouldn’t be waiting over a year for tv shows.”

“I’m ready, can this come out tomorrow?!” one said.

The series made its initial appearance in the year 2022, and it’s based approximately thousand years prior to both “The Hobbit” and “Lord of the Rings,” taking place during the Second Age.

The epic saga, “The Rings of Power,” delves into the crafting of the rings, the ascension of Lord Sauron, and the demise of the island realm known as Númenor.

In the TV series, you’ll find some characters who also starred in the films, such as Elrond (played by Robert Aramayo) and Galadriel (portrayed by Morfydd Clark).

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power seasons 1 and 2 are streaming on Prime Video.
