Epic Games Store is now available on Android and iOS

Oh boy, as a long-time gaming enthusiast who has witnessed the rollercoaster ride of the gaming industry, I can’t help but feel exhilarated with the latest development! The Epic Games Store is finally available on Android and iOS platforms, and it’s like Christmas came early for gamers worldwide.

Following all the obstacles, it’s positive news for Epic Games and gamers as the Epic Games Store can now be downloaded on Android and iOS devices. Globally, users can download the app on Android; however, iOS downloads are limited to those within the European Union at this time.

Players can now enjoy new games on their mobile devices via the Epic Games Store

The Store is now offering mobile versions of popular games like Fall Guys, Fortnite, and Rocket League Sideswipe, in sync with their release. This launch is significant as these games are now playable on Android devices globally and on iOS within the European Union. This expansion is made possible by the Digital Markets Act (DMA) following a prolonged court case between Epic and Apple.

Buckle up, folks! I’m thrilled to share that the exciting world of Epic Games is now on-the-go! The Epic Games Store has made its grand entrance on iPhones across the European Union, and globally on Android devices! This momentous occasion marks the triumphant return of Fortnite to iOS in the EU and the worldwide mobile debut of Fall Guys. Let’s grab our controllers and dive into the fun anytime, anywhere!

To mark the grand unveiling, Epic Games Store has prepared thrilling in-app competitions for mobile gamers, spanning Fortnite, Fall Guys, and Rocket League Sideswipe. Though these tasks can be viewed on multiple platforms, they are to be accomplished exclusively on a mobile device due to the limitation of streaming services. Successfully finishing these challenges will result in an assortment of in-game prizes.

The rewards consist of the following:

You can also earn these rewards through AltStore PAL on iOS in the EU. Epic Games is working to expand availability by bringing their titles to stores that offer favorable terms for all developers. The rewards will also be accessible through other mobile stores until November 2, 2024. Additionally, plans are in place to introduce the games to Aptoide’s iOS store in the EU and ONE Store on Android.

How to install the Epic Games Store on Android

As an enthusiast, I’m always on the lookout for new gaming experiences. Recently, I stumbled upon the Epic Games Store and was intrigued. Given that it’s not officially available on iOS within the European Union, I decided to share a step-by-step guide I found on how to install it. Please note that this method involves using AltStore, an alternative app store for iOS, which requires a Mac or Windows computer.

  1. Open the Safari browser on your iPhone and go to the Epic Games website.
  2. Find the download button and tap on it to begin the installation process. A pop-up will appear, informing you that your iPhone isn’t set up to install new marketplaces from the web yet. Tap Okay to proceed.
  3. Open the Settings app, and you should see a banner that says “Allow Marketplace from Epic Games.” Tap the banner, choose Allow, and then return to your browser.
  4. Press Install when prompted, and another iOS pop-up will ask if you want to install the app. Tap Install App Marketplace.
  5. Once the installation is complete, the Epic Games Store app will appear on your iPhone. Open the app, select the game you want, and install it just like you would from any other app store.
  6. A final iOS pop-up will ask for confirmation, tap Install to finish the process.

Currently, Epic Games is collaborating with international regulatory bodies to streamline the installation process for a seamless, one-click experience in the future. For now, stay tuned for any updates!
