I’m so excited for the new Enola Holmes movie! It looks like she’s off to Malta for her most dangerous case yet, and it’s really interesting to see how her personal life – and especially her relationship with Tewkesbury – gets mixed up in everything. Honestly, I’m really hoping we see some wedding plans for them! It’s going to be a wild ride, balancing a tricky mystery with all that romance.
The first trailer reveals a lot for Enola: she’s unexpectedly proposed to by Tewkesbury, and then learns her brother Sherlock (played by Henry Cavill) has been taken hostage. The big question is, who is behind this?

Philip Barantini, known for directing films like Boiling Point and Adolescence, became the director, taking over from Harry Bradbeer. Jack Thorne wrote the script, marking his third time working on an Enola Holmes movie.
The new movie won’t show the same Enola Holmes we’ve seen before. Millie Bobby Brown has said that this version of Enola is more self-assured, though still growing and changing.
She’s accomplished a lot on her own, which is really impressive, but she’s now figuring out what she wants to do next, and I think a lot of people feel that way too.
