The movie “War of the Worlds” on Prime Video has now been included in the group of films considered among the worst ever produced, as it received a dismal 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

In this film adaptation of H.G. Wells’s timeless science fiction novel, Ice Cube assumes the role of a dedicated security analyst. His life takes an unexpected turn with an extraterrestrial invasion, all while uncovering potential government conspiracies.

As a die-hard fan, I must admit that this show has been labeled everything from “uproariously terrible” to “catastrophic.” Yet, despite the harsh criticism, it seems the masses can’t get enough, with audiences flocking to catch a glimpse.

Despite its abysmally low rating, “War of the Worlds” is presently placed at number 88 on Rotten Tomatoes’ list of the most poorly received movies ever made.

Left Behind

The cinematic works of Nicolas Cage span from outstanding to poor, regrettably including this 2014 thriller titled “Left Behind.” Adapted from a novel published in 1995, the film unfolds in a post-apocalyptic setting where individuals vanish and pandemonium breaks loose, following the story of a single family as they navigate through this turmoil.

The lowest-rated film we’ve featured from the RT list, which received harsh criticism, was called “awful-terrible” by The Daily Beast, while North Shore Movies expressed that the only hope left seems to be for Nicolas Cage’s career. This certainly stings.

The Last Days of American Crime

2020’s failed project revolves around three individuals scheming to execute the millennium’s greatest heist, with the aim that a broadcast signal from the government will eradicate crime permanently.

In simpler terms, the movie titled “The Last Days of American Crime” featuring Édgar Ramírez, Michael Pitt, and Anna Brewster, received criticism for its portrayal of police brutality. This critique was especially harsh due to the timing of its release coinciding with the George Floyd protests. The film was criticized as being “out of touch” and “mindless” by Outtake Mag.

Dark Crimes

According to The Hollywood News, Jim Carrey stars in a film that lacks any appealing aspects. The movie centers around a detective who grows increasingly suspicious of an author, particularly after similarities between events depicted in his bestselling novel and an unsolved real-life murder emerge.

According to The AV Club, Jim Carrey’s dramatic performance was considered the poorest of his career, with a lackluster portrayal resembling a humorless caricature of restraint. In simpler terms, they believed that Carrey’s acting in this role did not live up to expectations and came across as flat or uninteresting.

Stratton

In this 2017 thriller, Dominic Cooper portrays an MI6 agent on a mission to prevent a lunatic from deploying lethal chemical weapons. The plot unfolds following the demise of his American counterpart.

In spite of boasting a notable ensemble featuring Gemma Chan and Tom Felton, the film Stratton was met with heavy criticism. The Observer even went as far as to label it a “blatant violation of the Geneva conventions,” with the movie being described as an unsuccessful attempt to emulate James Bond, suffering from a severe lack of intelligence.

Not one to leave you shaken or stirred, it seems.

The Disappointments Room

Titled as a psychological horror, “The Disappointments Room” narrates the story of a family who shift to a secluded manor in North Carolina. However, the mother, portrayed by Kate Beckinsale, starts encountering chilling hallucinations and eventually finds a hidden room in the attic that reveals the house’s grim past.

Rotten Tomatoes found that the film meets, or even surpasses, the disappointment suggested by its title. TheWrap believes that this movie contains a series of awkward moments that should be kept hidden from viewers. Certainly, it sounds quite frightening.
