Endless Night: The Darkness Within is an ‘Intense’ Platformer Coming to Xbox in Q3 2025
Independent video game studio, Little Guy Games, unveiled their upcoming title, “Endless Night: The Darkness Within,” an engaging 2.5D action role-playing game that is slated to hit the market in Q3 of this year. This eerie and immersive game promises to deliver a chilling experience.
“Blending visceral combat with a deeply personal narrative, Endless Night takes players on an emotional journey of resilience and self-discovery, offering a rich mix of strategic gameplay and evocative storytelling,” the announcement reads.
As the main character, Jake, you’ll delve into a sequence of deep-seated psychological issues such as childhood trauma, PTSD, and personal emotional battles, while navigating through a gloomy realm. Eventually, Jake will face his past, marked by symbolic embodiments of his turmoil, like the Burning Boy – an emblem of his inner child and unresolved agony.
There’s platforming to be done, as you use fireflies that grant abilities like horizontal and vertical boosts, teleportation, and the ability to manipulate gravity; while Jake will also encounter enemies with “complex attack patterns” in tactical combat. His combat style will also evolve, as he unlocks new moves and more powerful gear.
Endless Night: The Darkness Within is coming to Xbox and PC in Q3 2025.
