Production has begun on season two of the BBC drama *This City is Ours*. Shaun Evans, known for his role in *Endeavour*, will also be appearing in the new season, joining the rest of the returning cast.
The actor portrays Ozzie Thompson, an ex-gangster who has just gotten out of prison.
Álvaro Morte, known from shows like *Money Heist* and *The Wheel of Time*, is also joining the cast for season 2. He’ll be playing Felipe Guzman, a member of a Colombian drug cartel and the younger brother of Ricardo, who was killed off at the end of last season.

In Liverpool, the remaining members of the gang are still dealing with internal conflicts. At the same time, a recently released gangster from Ronnie’s time is demanding money from them.
James Nelson-Joyce and Hannah Onslow will reprise their roles as Michael and Diana, as mentioned earlier.
The cast includes Jack McMullen as Jamie Phelan, Mike Noble as Banksey, Julie Graham as Elaine, Saoirse-Monica Jackson as Cheryl, Adam Abbou as Freddie, Laura Aikman as Rachel, Kevin Harvey as Bobby, and Darci Shaw as Melissa Sullivan.
It’s currently unknown if Sean Bean will return for the second season. His character, Ronnie, met an expected fate – being killed off, which often happens to Sean Bean’s characters – but fans are hoping for a possible appearance in a flashback scene.
Season 2, which will have eight episodes, is currently being filmed in Liverpool. The production will also film scenes on location in Spain.
Stephen Butchard returns as the main writer for this project, with Robbie O’Neill contributing to one episode. Saul Dibb leads the directing team, supported by Chris Baugh.
The show’s first season launched in March and quickly became the BBC’s most popular drama of the year, averaging 5.8 million viewers overall and attracting 7.8 million for the premiere episode.
