Endeavour star Roger Allam’s upcoming film The Choral has confirmed its first UK screening.
The movie, based in Yorkshire, narrates the story of a choir group preparing for an important competition. Regrettably, their numbers are dwindling due to numerous members leaving for military service.
They decide to bolster their ranks by allowing some unruly teens and a scandalous local doctor in.

The BFI summary notes that ‘Alan Bennett and Nicholas Hytner’s new work is filled with humor and optimism, and it beautifully showcases the strength of community during difficult times.’
As a dedicated admirer, I’m excited to mention that alongside Allam in this film, we have Ralph Fiennes who stole my heart in “28 Years Later”, Mark Addy from the epic “Game of Thrones”, Alun Armstrong known for his work on “New Tricks”, and Simon Russell Beale, a familiar face from the upcoming “House of the Dragon”.

The movie will have its first showing in the UK during the BFI London Film Festival on the following dates: Sunday, 12th of October at 2:30 PM, Monday, 13th of October at 12:20 PM, and Friday, 17th of October at 3:45 PM in the capital city.
On September 16th starting at 10 am, tickets will be available for purchase. However, BFI Members have the opportunity to secure them beforehand. The ticket prices begin at £10, but individuals aged between 16-25 can join a complimentary program to buy tickets priced at £6 instead.
As a passionate film enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that, beyond the bustling streets of London, eleven cities across the UK are giving us a taste of the main festival with their exclusive screenings as part of the BFI On Tour project!

Now available is the initial sneak peek for “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple,” and it appears that the character played by Fiennes, Kelson, takes on a more prominent part this time around. This intriguing doctor seems to be up to something scandalous again.
The Choral airs in cinemas in October.
