As a devoted fan of Céline Dion, I must say that her resilience and strength are truly inspiring. Her triumphant return to live singing at the Paris Olympics was a testament to her unwavering spirit, especially considering her battle with stiff person syndrome (SPS).

During her Las Vegas residency performance, Adele had an incredibly touching moment when she saw Céline Dion among the audience members, causing her to break down in tears.

At Caesars Palace’s Colosseum, where Celine Dion had held a long-term residency over a decade ago, Adele, aged 36, and Celine, aged 56, had a heartfelt hug during Adele’s performance there.

Online video clips show Adele and Celine Dion embracing. Later, Adele, after returning to the stage, addressed the crowd saying, “Please give a warm welcome to the amazing Celine Dion.

With a visible show of emotion, Celine swiped away tears using a tissue, then rose to give a warm farewell wave to the audience as Adele’s popular song “When We Were Young” played on.

In a different video segment, Adele referred to Celine as one of her all-time favorite individuals, while signaling towards the renowned singer in the audience.

For quite some time now, I’ve openly expressed my admiration for the extraordinary Céline Dion. Following one of her mesmerizing performances, I took to Instagram in 2018 to affectionately refer to her as ‘Queen Céline’.

Next to a picture of her donning a Celine tee, she posted: “What an incredible event, truly one of the best moments in my life! A big thank you for the thoughtful interaction with your audience and unparalleled humor. Wishing you a fantastic new year, lady x.

At that moment, Celine returned the affection by posting a picture on social media, depicting herself standing next to Adele, sporting some of Adele’s merchandise.

She wrote: ‘Wasn’t able to do all my shows, but was thrilled that Adele came to one of them…. I love her so much!! – Céline xx’.

Over the weekend, I made my way back to the iconic Colosseum to resume my residency, following a brief hiatus where I graced an extraordinary open-air stage in Munich for a set of unforgettable performances.

The weekend entertainment series titled “Weekends With Adele” officially began at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, in November 2022, and it’s scheduled to wrap up in November of the current year.

Her run of sell-out shows at the venue, which seats around 4,000 people, has been a success but has also taken its toll.

In July, she announced she will take a ‘big break’ from music after her run of upcoming shows.

During the summer, Céline, despite fighting Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS), triumphantly returned to live performances and closed the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.

She openly discussed SPS, disclosing her diagnosis from December 2022, following the cancellation of her Las Vegas residency in 2021 due to health-related issues.

The condition is a rare autoimmune neurological disorder that most commonly causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms, according to the Johns Hopkins Medicine website.

From March 2003 to December 2007, Celine’s initial residency ran at The Colosseum, performing a total of 717 shows.

She came back to the location again in March 2011, and from there she performed 424 times until finally concluding in June 2019.

At this week’s City of Hope’s Spirit of Life Gala in LA, Céline left spectators astonished. This marked her initial reappearance in the limelight since her participation in the Olympics. Upon her arrival, she was greeted with a prolonged applause, indicating a warm and enthusiastic welcome.

She appeared on stage to hand over the prestigious Spirit of Life Award to Jay Marciano, who serves as both chairman and CEO of AEG Presents.

Celine expressed her deep gratitude to be present this evening, feeling privileged to be involved in such a remarkable and significant event. She radiated elegance while gracefully dressed in a stylish, sleek black dress featuring an intricate sheer neckline.

She said with a grin, “This is my first stage appearance since I was up there on the Eiffel Tower,” winking at her performance during the Olympics.
