“Emotional high-stakes” new crime drama in the works from Power Force boss

Gary Lennon, the showrunner for Power Book IV: Force, is creating a new eight-episode crime drama for Starz called Los Felix. He has already written all of the episodes.

Deadline reports that Los Felix is a tense, dramatic crime story centered around an affair. This affair unravels friendships, marriages, and careers, eventually leading to a murder that tears a community apart. The story suggests that either the secrets or the eventual revelation of the truth will be devastating for everyone involved.

The story will take place in Los Angeles, specifically in the Hollywood neighborhood of the same name.

Lennon is currently very busy, not only running the existing show but also creating a new spin-off series for the Power universe, currently called Power: Legacy.

Last June, Deadline reported that a new spin-off of the Power universe was in development, with Omari Hardwick’s co-star Michael Rainey Jr. set to reprise his role alongside writer Kendra Chapman.

What to Read Next

According to Deadline, the new series will take place in modern times, bringing back Joseph Sikora as Tommy Egan and Michael Rainey Jr. as Tariq St. Patrick.

The ever-expanding Power franchise also has a prequel series in the works titled Power: Origins.

In September, it was revealed that Spence Moore II and Charlie Mann would play younger versions of the characters Ghost and Tommy.

Mekai Curtis, who played Kanan Stark in Power Book III: Raising Kanan, will return to the role in this series.

According to the show’s description, Power: Origins will be a lively and energetic look at an earlier period in the Power universe. It will focus on the bold ambition of young men striving to make a name for themselves and become legends.

The latest issue of Living Legends, a beautiful, full-color 100-page tribute to Sir David Attenborough, is now available! You can purchase it at newsstands or online.

Power Book IV: Force streams via MGM+ on Prime Video Channels in the UK and airs on Starz in the US.
