Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins gives birth! Actress welcomes daughter Georgie Grace with school-teacher husband Adam Whitehead

Emmerdale actress Isabel Hodgins and her husband, Adam Whitehead, a teacher, have welcomed their first child – a baby girl!

The actress, famous for playing Victoria Sugden on ITV, announced the news to her Instagram followers in a post on Friday afternoon.

Hodgins, 32, announced on social media that she and her husband welcomed their daughter, Georgie Grace Whitehead, on February 11th – which also happened to be her husband’s birthday.

She shared the first picture of her new baby, who weighed 8 pounds and 5 ounces, along with the simple message: ‘And then we heard you.’

She also messaged her excited husband, saying, ‘Now you’ll have two things to celebrate!’

The actress announced she was pregnant on Instagram in August, only four months after marrying Whitehead. She shared that they were surprised by how quickly they conceived.

Honestly, we’d been hoping for this for a while, but even now that it’s actually happened, it feels a little surreal! It’s definitely taking some time to fully process everything.

Oh my goodness, you won’t believe the story I heard! This actress, she found out she was pregnant and was so stunned, she and her husband – a PE teacher, how cute is that? – immediately ran out and bought three more tests! Can you imagine? They just needed to be absolutely, positively sure, and honestly, who can blame them? It’s such a life-changing moment, you want to double, triple, even quadruple check! It’s a sweet story, and so relatable for so many of us.

We initially planned our wedding for 2026, but I decided I wanted to have a family sooner. I kept adjusting the timeline, wanting to be married before starting a family, but this was ultimately always the goal.

Being pregnant hasn’t been easy for the expectant mother. Even early in her pregnancy, she’s been dealing with tiredness and fluctuating emotions.
