Emmerdale star CONFIRMS he’s left the soap after 15 years as he shares an emotional farewell message with fans after his final scenes aired

As a devoted Emmerdale fan who has witnessed the Dingle clan’s trials and tribulations for over two decades, I must say, it’s bittersweet to see Sam Hall bid farewell to his role as Samson Dingle. Fifteen years of emotional rollercoasters, dramatic storylines, and an unbreakable bond with my television family have come to a close.

Actor Sam Hall, known for his role in Emmerdale, has officially announced his departure from the show, expressing a heartfelt goodbye to his fans on Tuesday in a touching message.

The twenty-year-old actor, who portrayed Samson Dingle in the soap opera for fifteen years, recently left following news that ITV executives had decided to terminate his character earlier this year.

On Tuesday, Samson was given a four-year prison sentence following his violent assault on Josh, a young troublemaker.

In a post on Emmerdale’s social networks, actor Sam made it clear that he said goodbye to the soap opera.

He said: ‘So as you’ve seen Samson has now left the village.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but express my heartfelt gratitude for the extraordinary journey we’ve shared over the past fifteen years. To each and every cast member and crew, thank you for being a part of this incredible tale. Here’s hoping that our beloved character, Samson, will make a comeback. Until we meet again!

Onlookers witnessed Samson bidding a touching farewell to his father Sam, as he was escorted to prison to serve out his term.

He said: ‘I’m really sorry I let you down dad, I’ve been a rubbish son, haven’t I?’

Sam sought to comfort his son by expressing continued pride, but also mentioned his regret about the prolonged absence, saying, “I am still very proud of you, my dear boy, but I truly miss your presence and wish you were home sooner.”

‘If you keep your head down, you could be out in two years for good behaviour.’

Spectators expressed their dissatisfaction with Samson leaving the show after being there for fifteen years, voicing their opinions on platform X.

Posts included: ‘That was such a poor exit for Sam after all the years he has been in Emmerdale.

It might have been more appropriate for them to allow him, Amelia, and Esther to embark on a journey together, considering that Esther seems to lack significant character development at present. I’m perplexed as to why Noah, Sarah, or even Esther herself are still part of the narrative if they aren’t contributing much to it.

‘I love Emmerdale but really bad decision.

It’s deeply disappointing that Emmerdale made such a regrettable choice to let go of a remarkable actor who still had a lot to offer. I, for one, will no longer be tuning in because this decision has cost you a devoted fan.

After spending 16 years on Emmerdale, it seems unfortunate for Sam that his story didn’t end more favorably. He should have been able to leave with a bright future ahead instead.

Previous reports suggested that the producers of Emmerdale were planning to remove Sam from the show, with initial speculation indicating his character might be killed off.

It was reported that Sam’s fellow actors, including James Hooton (Sam’s on-screen father), expressed dissatisfaction with the decision. They banded together to provide Sam with their encouragement and backing.

I’m utterly heartbroken, a state I find myself in due to a decision that has left me reeling. Growing up alongside my on-screen family, the Dingle clan, has been an extraordinary journey. They’ve always watched over me like a guardian, and now, some of these cherished colleagues have stepped forward to voice their concerns about this decision directly to the bosses. It’s a testament to our bond that runs deeper than just a screen.

‘As news of his axing swept through the building there were quite a lot of angry Dingles.

As someone who has lost a few close friends to unexpected circumstances, I can empathize with the devastating feelings of despair and helplessness that come from knowing someone is facing the end of their journey. Hearing that they are planning to ‘write off’ this person forever leaves me feeling heavy-hearted, as if a piece of my own life story has been irrevocably altered. I can only imagine how utterly crushed he must be, knowing there will be no way back for him. The pain and grief he is experiencing right now is palpable, and it’s heartbreaking to witness such anguish unfold.

During his tenure on the soap, Sam handled challenging story arcs such as becoming a father at a young age following a brief romance with Amelia Spencer.

The announcement of a significant change in scheduling for Coronation Street and Emmerdale has been made by ITV executives, aligning it with the Olympic broadcasts, bringing delight to their fans.

As the major sports event has taken over most of the daily broadcasting time on the BBC, ITV has made efforts to enhance its approach in delivering popular soap operas to viewers.

As a dedicated TV enthusiast with years of experience in following various series and shows, I can confidently say that the convenience of having new episodes available to watch at 7am on their streaming platform ITVX is a game-changer for me. This early release allows me to catch up on my favorite shows before starting my day, making it easier to balance work and entertainment. Additionally, knowing that the episodes will also be broadcasted at their usual time in the evening gives me the flexibility to watch them again if I miss them during the morning or prefer a larger screen. Overall, this approach caters well to busy individuals like myself who want to stay updated with their favorite shows without compromising productivity.

On a cheerful Monday morning, the authentic social media accounts for Emmerdale and Coronation Street announced an engaging update, sparking joy among their loyal followers.

They wrote identical messages saying: “We’re offering you a small surprise during the summer while the Olympics are happening.”

As a dedicated soap opera enthusiast with years of viewing under my belt, I can confidently say that every day, ITVX offers a double dose of Corrie and Emmerdale at 7am sharp. However, let me remind fellow evening viewers to tread lightly in this spoiler-free zone as the joy of unraveling plot twists live is part of what makes our favorite shows so enjoyable.

Smart decision by the broadcaster ensures that viewers can enjoy both the Olympics and their favorite soap operas without any interruptions.

For quite some time now, the BBC has been airing EastEnders episodes early, often as early as 6 am, before their television broadcast.
