Isabel Hodgins, who plays a role on the TV show Emmerdale, was recently seen in public with her husband, Adam Whitehead, who is a teacher. This was just a few days after they welcomed their baby daughter, Georgie Grace.
The 32-year-old soap opera actress and her husband, Adam Whitehead, a schoolteacher, welcomed their first child, a baby girl, last week.
The actress, famous for playing Victoria Sugden on the TV show Emmerdale, announced the news to her fans on Instagram Friday afternoon.
Isabel announced on social media that she and her husband welcomed their daughter, Georgie Grace Whitehead, early in the morning on February 11th – which happened to be her husband’s birthday.
Isabel was seen out for the first time since giving birth, enjoying a walk in the Manchester sunshine on Tuesday.
Oh my gosh, they were just so cozy! Isabel, looking amazing as always even as a new mom, had this perfect black North Face puffer jacket on, and the cutest grey sweatpants. I need to know where she gets her outfits, seriously! They looked so comfortable and stylish, just stepping out together. I’ve already screenshotted the look, obviously.
Isabel recently shared the first picture of her new baby, who weighed 8 pounds and 5 ounces, along with a simple message: ‘And then we heard you.’
She also messaged her excited husband, saying, ‘Now you’ll have two things to celebrate!’
The actress announced she was expecting a baby on Instagram in August, only four months after getting married to Adam.
She admitted the couple were shocked with how quickly they fell pregnant.
She shared with The Mirror that while they’d hoped it would happen, it still feels surreal now that it actually has.
The actress was stunned when she saw the positive pregnancy test, so she and her partner, a PE teacher named Adam, immediately bought three more to confirm the result.
We initially planned our wedding for 2026, but I decided I wanted to have children sooner, so we’re moving things forward.
I always intended to end up here, but I also wanted to get married first, so I kept delaying things. It might have seemed confusing, but this was ultimately what I wanted all along!
Being pregnant hasn’t been easy for the expectant mother. Even early in her pregnancy, she’s been dealing with tiredness and changes in her emotions.
I wasn’t sure what to anticipate, but it’s proven more challenging than I expected, with a lot of ups and downs.
‘But luckily, I haven’t been very sick, so that’s a plus’.
The actress excitedly announced on Instagram: ‘First comes love, then marriage, and now… Baby Whitehead!’
In April 2025, the couple tied the knot at Castlefield Rooms in Manchester, celebrating with loved ones.
The new bride recently told The Mirror about her wedding day, sharing that her co-star, Eden Taylor Draper, was one of the bridesmaids, along with a school friend and her mother.
I’ve been friends with Laura and Eden for years – Laura is like a sister to me, and Eden was even in my wedding! They’re truly wonderful people.
In my speech, I mentioned Adam and I hadn’t been dating long. When I told Zoë [Henry] about him, she immediately said she had a feeling we’d get married – she just seemed to know it would happen.
Other Emmerdale guests included Danny Miller, Mark Jordon, Laura Norton and Jeff Hordley.
