Emma Willis Stuns at First Event Post-Shock Heart Surgery, Flaunts Abs with Husband Matt

Emma Willis stepped out in public for the first time following her recent minimally invasive heart surgery, which she had due to an unrecognized heart ailment that she’d been dealing with.

On Thursday, the 49-year-old television host beamed with happiness as she snuggled close to her husband Matt Willis at The Great Gatsby press night in London, after attending the BAFTA TV Craft Awards Nominees Party.

Emma showed off her toned figure in a black bandeaux crop top and a dazzling patterned black suit.

She appeared stunning, showcasing her toned midriff under a coordinated blazer and pants, further accentuating her stature with high-heeled shoes of significant height.

Actor Matt, known for his past roles, teamed up with his beautiful spouse, both donned sleek black suits and unbuttoned dress shirts showing an elegant open collar.

In another location, actress Nicola Coughlan, aged 38, was stunning in a chic, petite black jacket dress that featured an eye-catching bow and train.

Amber Davies showcased a stylish, glamorous look wearing a little black dress paired with an extended floral-embroidered mesh skirt that trailed behind her.

Shona McGarty put on a leggy display in a black pinstripe mini skirt and a matching shirt.

Amber and Corbin put on an impressive display during the photo session for their latest West End production, The Great Gatsby musical.

From April 16 to September 7, a breathtaking rendition of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s timeless tale unfolds at the London Coliseum, capturing its essence with flair.

Earlier this week, Emma shared that she didn’t realize until now that she’s been living with a hole in her heart throughout her entire life.

Sharing the news Emma admitted she was shocked to discover what was happening ‘in my body.’

As it turns out, I’ve spent 48 years wandering about, oblivious to the fact that I had a hole in my heart. Isn’t it amazing how much goes on within us without our knowledge… This was shared with her Instagram audience by her.

What truly astounds me is the miracles of contemporary medicine and the incredible individuals who dedicate their days to healing, mending, and aiding us.

A more casual way to phrase that would be: “Septal defects” is just a fancy name for a condition where there’s a gap or opening between some of the heart’s main rooms.

An atrial septal defect is a birth defect affecting the heart, for which the specific cause remains undetermined, as acknowledged by the National Health Service (NHS).

An Atrial Septal Defect refers to a situation where a gap or hole exists between the two upper chambers of the heart (the left and right atria). This opening allows some blood to bypass its intended path, flowing instead through the defect and into the right side of the heart. This additional flow causes the right side of the heart to expand and become larger over time.

Kids who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) may exhibit mild signs, yet they are often susceptible to more frequent respiratory infections. In some cases, these infections could lead to shortness of breath and even the development of a heart murmur.

A ventricular septal defect, or VSD for short, is a frequent type of heart condition present at birth. This happens due to an opening in the wall dividing the two main pumping chambers of the heart – specifically, between the left and right ventricles.

In simpler terms, this indicates that more blood is directed from the left to the right ventricle through the hole because of the pressure gap between them. This excess blood flows towards the lungs, resulting in increased pressure within the lungs and stretching the left-side pumping chamber.

Small holes often eventually close by themselves, but larger holes need to be closed using surgery.

Previously, Big Brother’s host Emma shared with her followers that she underwent a surgical procedure at the Royal Brompton Hospital located in London.

In keyhole heart surgery, smaller cuts are made on the chest rather than opening up the breastbone, which is how traditional open-heart surgeries are performed.

Through the cuts made, the surgeon reaches the heart, ensuring a less intrusive method that typically results in fewer complications and a quicker healing process.

In a detailed message, Emma expressed gratitude towards her spouse Matt and the dedicated team at the Royal Brompton Hospital for their exceptional care they provided.

Emma and Matt have been a couple for over two decades, and they share the company of their three kids: Isabelle, aged fifteen, Ace, who’s thirteen, and Trixie, at eight years old.

In 2008, they got married, marking the beginning of two decades together, and they’ve been facing various challenges along the way, one of which was Matt’s battle with substance abuse involving drugs and alcohol.

As a devoted follower, I’m excited to share that Matt, once a member of Busted, has revealed to TopMob his journey of growth within his long-standing relationship with Emma. He credits couple’s therapy for helping us navigate and surmount the challenges we’ve faced over the years.

In 2020, they began marriage counseling, a decision that initially met with Emma’s hesitation, as Matt confessed. However, Emma has since expressed gratitude for the experience, finding it positively transformative for their marriage.
