Emma Stone, who has two Oscars adorning her shelves, tends to spend her time at home baking cookies and enjoying animated series Bluey alongside her daughter, Louise Jean, instead of living a glamorous life associated with her awards.
The actress from La La Land, known for giving birth to her four-year-old daughter with her husband Dave McCary in March 2021, is well-known for maintaining a very personal life.
She hasn’t shared any posts about Louise Jean on social platforms, as a matter of fact, Stone, aged 36, doesn’t have a presence on social media. Moreover, during that period, she managed to keep her pregnancy private as well.
In a recent conversation with Vogue, she shared a sincere, intimate look at her motherhood experience, which included preparing pumpkin oatmeal treats and long sessions of watching cartoons.
Stone expresses that she feels particularly fortunate, stating, “She is undoubtedly the most precious gift in my life, without a doubt, and I am referring to my daughter, who shares a name with my great-grandmother Jean Louise.
The star cherishes the peaceful aspects of life alongside her little companion, creating treasured moments while cooking together and repeatedly enjoying the Bluey episode titled ‘Sleepytime’.

Close friend and Superbad co-star Martha MacIsaac praised Stone for parenting with ‘grace.’
MacIsaac remarks that motherhood can be challenging yet she manages with poise. Interestingly, she kept in touch with Stone via video call during both deliveries. Moreover, her medical knowledge is commendable.
In 2021, Stone decided to take a break from the film industry after giving birth. However, she is making a comeback and will soon appear in the movies titled Eddington and Bugonia.
Still, motherhood has shifted how she chooses projects.
She clarifies that it makes everything more efficient. Using a common expression, she emphasizes that it fundamentally alters and reduces complexity in every aspect.
Prior to agreeing to a movie role, she now ponders if the time spent away from her daughter for extended periods is justified.
That shift has also deepened her craft.
Stone remarks, “Being a parent definitely opens up new aspects of me,” she explains when asked about the impact on her acting. “It’s hard to pinpoint exactly why, but it feels like it heightens every emotion I experience, as if my life has been expanded in some way.

At the 2024 Academy Awards, Stone took a moment to acknowledge her daughter with a heartfelt shout-out, as she was receiving her second Best Actress award for her role in Poor Things.
A few days prior to Louise Jean’s third birthday, Stone addressed the crowd, expressing, “And let me emphasize, it’s my precious daughter who will turn three in just three days. She has brought color and joy into our lives that is as vast as the entire sky. I love you immensely, my dear.
In 2021, Stone called motherhood ‘very exciting.’
When Mark Heyes inquired about her experience during the lockdown, she responded: ‘I’ve been fortunate with my lockdown situation, but this year has been absolutely mad.’
She is married to a comedian, whom she tied the knot with in 2020, four years after they first met when she was the host of Saturday Night Live. They share Louise together.
