Emma Stone debuts short hair transformation at Golden Globes
Emma Stone has debuted a pixie cut in a darker hue at this year’s Golden Globes.
Last night at the January 5th event, I was there alongside my husband, Dave McCary. I opted for a stunning strapless red dress by Louis Vuitton, and I decided to switch things up with a shorter, darker-hued hairstyle – a departure from my usual copper tresses.
There are rumors circulating that her new hairstyle is connected to a role she may be playing in an upcoming film, possibly a collaboration with director Yorgos Lanthimos on his next production.
In the science fiction, humorous yet ominous movie titled “Bugonia“, she portrays the role of the head executive of a large pharmaceutical corporation.
The film brings Lanthimos back together with Jesse Plemons and Alicia Silverstone. In this production, Plemons plays a beekeeper with conspiracy theories who suspects Silverstone’s character to be an evil extraterrestrial, while she portrays his mother.
As a dedicated admirer, I can’t help but marvel at the fact that “Bugonia” is Stone’s fourth project with Lanthimos, following our shared cinematic experiences like “The Favourite”, “Poor Things”, and “Kinds of Kindness”.
For Poor Things, Stone received the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy last year.
This year, Stone and McCary’s production company, Fruit Tree, didn’t receive any acting nominations. However, they did produce the film “A Real Pain” starring Jesse Eisenberg, which garnered nominations in four categories, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.
In Eisenberg’s recent directorial work, the Best Picture Golden Globe wasn’t secured, but Kieran Culkin, Eisenberg’s fellow actor in the film, was honored with the trophy for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture at the ceremony.
Apart from bearing delicious fruit, this very tree marked the beginning of Eisenberg’s directing career with the premiere of “When You Finish Saving the World” in 2022. This film featured the talented duo, Finn Wolfhard known for his role in “Stranger Things,” and the renowned Julianne Moore.
This year, Stone’s flagship production company has supported the horror sensation “I Saw the TV Glow,” penned by director Jane Schoenbrun, as well as “Problemista” featuring Saturday Night Live star Julio Torres.
Bugonia will be released in the UK and US on November 7.
