Emma Roberts calls Britney Spears biopic casting rumors her ‘true dream’ – as pop star posts photo of cleavage

From her meteoric rise to fame as a child star on The New Mickey Mouse Club, to her tumultuous relationships, and finally, her long-awaited liberation from conservatorship, Britney’s life story is nothing short of extraordinary.
Emma Roberts expressed her emotional response to speculation about her potentially portraying Britney Spears in the pop icon’s forthcoming biography film.
42-year-old Britney published her eye-opening memoir titled “The Woman Inside Me” last year, breaking sales records and sparking a fierce competition for the film adaptation rights.
Currently, plans are underway at Universal for an upcoming movie version, with Jon M. Chu – known for directing films like “Crazy Rich Asians” and “Wicked” – set to lead the production.
Previously employed assistant of the renowned singer known as “The Toxic One,” Felicia Culotta (who worked with her from 1997 to 2007), has recently proposed Emma as a possible candidate for portraying Britney Spears in the upcoming biopic.
Upon learning about the suggestion, I, Emma – the niece of Julia Roberts – couldn’t help but express my joyous reaction to Cosmopolitan magazine.
Emma stated, “I exclaimed, ‘I adore her personal aide.’ In truth, playing Britney Spears has always been my heart’s desire. Although it’s just a rumor, I eagerly wish that it might become reality someday.”
I recall a time when I shut myself inside my bedroom, put on In The Zone, and declared firmly that I wouldn’t exit until I had committed all the lyrics to memory.
Emma’s comments became public on the very same day that Britney shared and subsequently removed an intimate close-up Instagram picture showing her cleavage, accompanied by the caption: ‘Thank goodness for my mother… you know.’
It’s unclear whether the message was intended for Halsey, as she has recently released a song titled “Lucky,” which samples Britney Spears’ popular 2000 hit with the same name, and no indication was given that it was specifically addressed to her.
Before releasing her own rendition, Halsey emphasized that Britney had given her approval for drawing inspiration from her in a fresh track.
After Halsey’s single was released in July, Britney expressed strong feelings of being violated by the music video and hinted at potential legal action by posting a fiery message online.
After a surprising reversal, Britney subsequently declared that the post criticizing Halsey wasn’t her making it from her phone.
In her autobiography, Britney shared an astonishing account of her meteoric rise to pop fame during her teenage years, along with the overwhelming challenges she encountered while navigating the heights of celebrity life.
The book generated widespread attention due to its critical depiction of her relationship with Justin Timberlake, featuring allegations such as him causing her pregnancy and subsequently pressuring her for an abortion as he wasn’t prepared to become a father yet.
Apart from attacking her own situation, she also criticized her parents, Jamie and Lynn, for their involvement in the contentious conservatorship that was established for her in 2008 following her well-known emotional breakdown. The criticism aimed at their role within this issue.
For 13 years, a conservatorship held her under its control, but in 2021, a judge ended it amidst growing calls for Britney’s freedom, symbolized by the #FreeBritney campaign.
In her autobiography, Britney Spears reflected on two unsuccessful marriages. The first was with her long-time friend Jason Alexander, whom she married briefly (only 55 hours) before they had their marriage annulled. Subsequently, she tied the knot with rapper Kevin Federline.
Kevin serves as the father to both Sean Preston (age 18) and Jayden (age 16), who are sons of Britney. Their romantic connection has been marked by ups and downs, but it is said that they have rekindled their relationship recently during the summer.
In the book, Britney expressed warm praise for her third husband, Sam Asghari, a model, despite their divorce filing by him only a couple of months prior to its publication.
Despite their separation, she included affectionate comments about Sam in her memoir, which prompted him to tell TMZ that he was “thrilled beyond belief” by her sharing her life story.
Previously departed member of Britney Spears’ entoury, Felicia, has recently proposed that actress Emma would be ideal for portraying her in the upcoming film.
She pointed out that, similar to how Britney had performed, Emma was a child star on the Nickelodeon show Unfabulous, much like she did on The New Mickey Mouse Club on the Disney Channel.
In addition, Felicia proposed that Drew Barrymore would be ideal for portraying her character, while Timothee Chalamet was suggested to play the role of Justin Timberlake, according to TMZ’s report.
