Emma Corrin cuts an elegant figure in a chic black suit as they attend the 10th anniversary of MGCfutures at St Martin-in-the-Fields
As a lifestyle expert with years of experience in the industry, I must say that Emma Corrin continues to impress me with their impeccable style and versatility. Their ability to gracefully navigate the world of non-binary identity while maintaining a successful acting career is truly inspiring.
At the 10th anniversary of MGCfutures held at St Martin-in-the-Fields on Thursday, Emma Corrin gracefully stood out in a well-tailored black suit.
A 28-year-old actor who identifies as non-binary and prefers using “they/them” pronouns, showcased their natural flair for fashion on the red carpet while supporting the next generation of theatre creators.
Emma looked chic in a black two-piece which was layered over a navy blue T-shirt.
In an understated yet stylish approach, The Crown’s leading actress donned a pair of tinted sunglasses in an orange hue and carried a sleek black handbag.
Adding a casual twist to the look, Emma finished their outfit with a pair of black trainers.
The news that they might take on a role similar to Keira Knightley’s has led to their upcoming appearance.
Emma has been eyed up for the lead in a new Netflix adaptation of the classic Pride and Prejudice.
In a future adaptation by the streaming behemoth, the actor from “The Crown” is set to portray Elizabeth Bennet, a role from Jane Austen’s 1813 novel, which is currently undergoing initial stages of production.
The series is being written by Everything I Know About Love author Dolly Alderton, who is working on a ‘progressive’ version of the novel.
According to a source, Dolly has been developing a Pride and Prejudice screenplay for Netflix, and she believes that Emma could brilliantly portray the role of Elizabeth.
‘She is a big fan of Emma’s work, most notably in The Crown where Emma played Princess Diana.
Dolly considers herself open-minded and modern, and she believes casting a non-binary actor for the role could be an excellent choice.
And a sign of Dolly’s forward thinking is the choice to select Emma in the main role.
2021 saw Emma, who’s engrossed in a queer feminist adaptation of “1001 Arabian Nights,” publicly identify as nonbinary and prefers the use of they/them pronouns.
When the actor mentioned feeling “more recognized” instead, it was prior to disclosing their intention to identify with both femininity and masculinity, preferring not to restrict themselves to just one identity.
They also expressed their continued affection for their feminine aspects, yet desired to delve into the newly emerging parts of themselves that lean towards non-binary and masculine identity.
Previously, Keira Knightley took on the lead role for a Regency-era production in 2007, opposite Matthew Macfadyen. Now, Emma has been selected to play the main character in this role.
Based on reports from The Sun, Netflix appears eager to continue filming the series after the successful reinterpretation of “Persuasion,” with Dakota Johnson taking on the role of Anne Elliot.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve learned the BBC is bringing Jane Austen’s classic “Pride and Prejudice” to life once more, but this time with a twist! Titled “The Other Bennet Sister,” this limited series will shine a spotlight on the intriguing character of Mary Bennet, offering us a fresh perspective on a story we thought we knew so well. Can’t wait for its premiere!
The news comes as Emma has been working on their new project, 100 Nights of Heroes, and was spotted with their co-star Maika Monroe on set.
Emma and Maika’s recent work involves a fresh, feminist spin on the timeless tale of Arabian Nights, titled “1001 Nights: A Modern Retelling.” The narrative centers around Nicholas Galitzine as a captivating house guest, who unexpectedly arrives at an isolated castle. In this new setting, he encounters a neglectful spouse (the husband), his naive bride Cherry (played by Maika), and their loyal maid Hero (portrayed by Emma).
The movie, titled similarly to Isabel Greenberg’s graphic novel, features Nicolas as a rakish antagonist. He visits the residence of his acquaintances, and they engage in a wager where Nicholas aims to win over Cherry, their wife, within a span of 100 days.
However, Cherry is shrewd to the villain’s schemes, and with the assistance of her beloved Hero, she spins a string of captivating stories to divert the villain’s wicked actions.
In the movie, you’ll find Michael Keogh, known for his role in Peaky Blinders, as well as the popular singer Charli XCX making her debut in a significant film part.
