Eminem’s latest conflict isn’t with a fellow musician, but with two stars from the ‘Real Housewives‘ franchise, who he claims are causing trouble for him privately.
Rapper Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, says Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon from The Real Housewives of Potomac are bothering him because of a legal statement related to their ongoing dispute over a trademark.
The Housewives have accused the Oscar-winning actor of ignoring a required court meeting, and he’s now responding with a new legal filing, according to the Daily Mail.
I’ve been following this whole thing since it started back in 2023. It all began when Bryant, who’s 55, and Dixon, 46, tried to officially trademark the name of their podcast, Reasonably Shady. That’s really when the trouble began, as far as I can tell.
Eminem, known for decades as Slim Shady, objected to the application, claiming their use of the word ‘shady’ was too similar to his established brand.
What followed has been two years of back-and-forth legal sparring.

The Real Housewives claim the rapper and his representatives are avoiding them, saying they’re having trouble finding a date for Eminem’s deposition.
I was so relieved when they finally confirmed October 29th after weeks of back and forth! But then we got another catch – the artist would only be there for two hours, and they insisted on starting at 2 p.m. sharp. It was a bit frustrating, honestly, but we were determined to make it work.
His lawyer reportedly cautioned that it was hard to schedule a deposition with their client, and advised taking the opportunity whenever possible.
Honestly, I completely understood Bryant and Dixon’s frustration. They really pushed back against what felt like a non-negotiable deadline. They explained that starting so late would create a real headache for the lawyers they rely on, because those firms operate on regular business hours – it just wouldn’t be easy for them to accommodate a late start.
They questioned why the rapper couldn’t begin earlier than 2 p.m. and criticized his team for not agreeing to a brief extension for the fact-finding process.
According to them, Eminem’s lawyer hasn’t genuinely tried to arrange a meeting for questioning under oath.
On November 11, Eminem hit back.
The lawyer stated that the reality stars were blowing the problem out of proportion and preferred to go straight to court rather than try to resolve things through discussion.

The rapper said he’d stay as long as needed to complete the deposition and fit it into everyone’s schedule.
Okay, so I’ve been following this whole thing, and honestly, the statement totally shut down those Housewives! They’re claiming it’s about getting Eminem to testify, but the statement basically said their refusal to work with anyone and fighting over just three hours of a scheduling difference proves they’re just trying to bother him! It’s so obvious they’re not actually interested in the truth, they just want to cause trouble. I knew it! This confirms everything!
Eminem’s lawyers pointed out that, despite the Real Housewives’ objections, arranging for a court reporter outside of regular business hours was definitely achievable.
But the rapper also pointed to the real obstacle: his day job.
Eminem is unable to start a deposition before the early afternoon on the East Coast because he’s currently recording new music in the studio. His manager, Paul Rosenberg, submitted a statement detailing how a morning deposition would significantly interfere with his recording schedule.
According to Rosenberg, Eminem is currently focused on creating new music for several projects and needs to be in the studio every day. Taking time away would be both costly and delay his commitments to various agreements with specific deadlines.
He explained that not showing up to the studio in the morning could disrupt the work of several engineers and collaborators, resulting in significant costs for everyone involved, including Eminem.
Rosenberg stressed that with approaching deadlines, it’s crucial for Eminem to be in the studio every day. He already has studio time booked for November and December, so asking him to take time for a deposition this month would be expensive and challenging.

The Daily Mail hasn’t received a reply after reaching out to representatives for Eminem, Bryant, and Dixon for a statement.
The Patent and Trademark Office hasn’t made a decision yet, but the Housewives appear unconcerned.
At BravoCon in Las Vegas earlier this month, Dixon joked about the rapper’s insistence on continuing to use a word he popularized.
She updated her fans, saying he’s still acting suspiciously. They’re continuing with the lawsuit and are determined to win, eventually.
And the Housewives aren’t the only ones in Slim Shady’s legal crosshairs.
Eminem recently started a new dispute, this time with an Australian beachwear company whose name is similar to his own.
The rapper is taking legal action against Swim Shady, a company based in Sydney, Australia. Swim Shady, which started in 2023 and sells items like sun shades and beach towels, recently registered its name as a trademark in the United States.
