Emily in Paris star’s British rom-com is now available to watch on Netflix
As a seasoned gamer and movie enthusiast with a penchant for romantic comedies, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement upon hearing about Lucien Laviscount’s latest Netflix venture, “This Time Next Year.” Having grown up watching him grace our screens in shows like Emily in Paris, Kingsman: The Secret Service, and Doctor Who, it’s heartening to see his career continue to thrive.
Actor Lucien Laviscount, famous for his role in Emily in Paris, has just released a new romantic comedy titled “This Time Next Year.” You can now stream it on Netflix.
Today (September 20), the British movie featuring Sophie Cookson from “Kingsman: The Secret Service” became available for streaming in the United Kingdom and Ireland, having been previously released digitally earlier this year.
Based on Sophie Cousens’ 2020 novel titled “This Time Next Year“, the story revolves around Laviscount and Cookson as characters named Quinn and Minnie, who are Londoners and happen to meet each other. They discover that they were born in the same hospital, a mere minute apart on the same day.
Even though life’s twists and turns have kept us miles apart over the past three decades, somehow, destiny seems to be guiding us back into each other’s lives as gamers.
Among the other actors appearing are Mandip Gill from “Doctor Who,” Golda Rosheuvel known for “Bridgerton,” Keala Settle famous from “The Greatest Showman,” John Hannah recognized in “The Decameron,” Monica Dolan celebrated in “Pride,” Will Hislop well-known for “Death in Paradise,” and Charlie Oscar.
The comedy-drama series “This Time Next Year” is set to debut on Netflix, following closely on the heels of the news that Laviscount will star in another Netflix romantic comedy titled “People We Meet on Holiday.
The movie focuses on the friendship between Poppy and Alex, who reside in distinct cities but reunite every summer break. But their relationship is put to the test as they ponder whether they might be something more than just friends.
In addition to the cast members already announced for “People We Meet on Vacation,” we will also see Jameela Jamil from “The Good Place,” Sarah Catherine Hook from “The White Lotus,” Lukas Gage of “Euphoria,” Tom Blyth, known for his role in “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes,” and Emily Bader who starred in “My Lady Jane.
Laviscout made an appearance in the recent run of “Emily in Paris,” a series that’s been given the green light for a fifth installment.
This Time Next Year is now available to watch on Netflix.
