Emily in Paris star quits show ahead of season 5: “It felt like the right moment”
Emily in Paris is losing one of its key characters ahead of season 5 hitting our screens.
In the upcoming phase of filming, it’s been declared that Camille Razat will not rejoin Lily Collins and the other actors for the forthcoming episodes.
Actress Razat, portraying the character of bisexual icon Camille since the first season, recently clarified her choice to leave the series, yet she left open the possibility for a future comeback.

Following an amazing adventure, I’ve chosen to part ways from “Emily in Paris”, as expressed in a heartfelt post on Instagram. She went on to say that the time spent there was incredibly rewarding, offering growth, artistic freedom, and moments that will forever be etched in her memory.
Razat expressed gratitude towards the show creator Darren Star, Netflix, and Paramount for their faith in her to bring Camille to life, stating that “the door remains open for her return in the Emily in Paris universe.” Reflecting on Camille’s journey over four seasons, she acknowledged: “This character has held a special place in my heart, and I believe her storyline has reached its natural conclusion. It seemed fitting to venture into new experiences.” She then signed off by saying, “Thank you for the wonderful journey,” following up with news about her upcoming appearances on Netflix’s series Nero and Disney+’s Les Disparues de la Gare, as well as establishing her own production company.
Her previous colleagues responded to her declaration, with the main actor, Collins, saying: “I adore you, my sibling. What a thrilling journey, and such a delight! You’re like a star performing in a rock concert. I’m incredibly proud of you.
Mindy (Ashley Park) expressed: “I love you so much and am always proud of you,” whereas Bruno Gouery (Luc actor) responded with: “We will deeply miss you.
Nicolas Paul Forman, too, commended Razat for her portrayal, saying: “You breathed such richness and grace into Camille! Can’t wait to witness your future projects with @tazar_production , and hearty congratulations on the upcoming chapters in your career!” (I’m proud of you.)
Ultimately, the actress Melia Kreiling, known for her role as Sofia, Camille’s girlfriend, expressed: “I love you, you will always be my favorite French smoocher!!!
Initially presented as Gabriel’s girlfriend during season one, Camille found herself entangled in a romantic triangle with both him and Emily. The storylines surrounding Camille grew progressively complicated, culminating in her leaving Gabriel at the altar, fabricating a pregnancy, and ultimately moving into the same building as Gabriel and Emily.
In the fourth season, Camille feels devastated as Sofia departs, compelling her to acknowledge that it was long past due for her to step away from this toxic relationship and bid farewell to Paris.
Emily in Paris seasons 1-4 are streaming on Netflix.
