As a seasoned viewer of Emily in Paris, I must say that this show has become a delightful part of my weekly routine. The characters, particularly Lily Collins’ Emily, have grown on me immensely, and it seems like the creators felt the same way, keeping her around for more adventures.

British actor Lucien Laviscount, who’s captivating audiences in Emily in Paris, shares that his ideal romantic outing would involve flying to Paris and winning over a new love interest by strolling hand-in-hand along the Seine during sunset.

I, a die-hard fan here, can hardly contain my excitement as our beloved 32-year-old star will be playing the British romantic interest of Lily Collins’ character, Alfie, in the upcoming fourth season of our cherished Netflix series! And get this – it’s set to break our hearts even further with a ‘heartbreaking’ episode installment. I just can’t wait!

Heartthrob Lucien has now detailed his very own perfect date location – and it is very on brand.

When asked about his dream destination for a getaway, Lucien shared with Cosmopolitan UK that Paris is his top choice without hesitation. His idea of a perfect weekend involves catching the train from Gare du Nord, dropping off belongings at the hotel, and immediately exploring the city streets instead.

As an ardent enthusiast, let me share my heartfelt recommendation: Stroll down to the enchanting Café Charlot in Le Marais – a gem that simply takes your breath away! Afterward, venture towards the mesmerizing River Seine for an unforgettable sunset. Witness the magical moment when the Eiffel Tower illuminates under twilight, and if this sight doesn’t stir up feelings of love within you, then perhaps you were never destined to be smitten!

In a recent interview, it was disclosed that Lucien, who joined the Netflix series in its second season, is not part of the Emily in Paris group chat.

He added: ‘If there is one, I’m not in it! No, I think there is one, but no one’s really on it that much. If we’re going to hang out one night, we all jump in and make a plan.

After some time, there won’t be any communication between us. Then, we’ll take a break and suggest, ‘Let’s go out for dinner, shall we decide on a place together?’

After it was disclosed that Lucien was initially planned for just two episodes in the popular Netflix show.

Speaking to hosts Jordan North, Chris Stark and Kemi Rodgers on Tuesday’s Capital Breakfast, Lucien gave an insight into what fans can expect.

Jordan wondered if anyone had anticipated how popular this show would become, given all the buzz surrounding it, even in the United States where everyone seems to adore it.

Lucien stated: “Since I joined in the second season, I had a feeling about it. However, with the shows that became popular during COVID-19, people staying at home and binge-watching certainly added to the effect.”

He added: ‘So it was a little bit of a nerve-wracking kind of entrance on to the show. I was only supposed to do two episodes.

Initially, it was planned that my final day would arrive, but I received a brief round of applause instead, followed by Darren Star, the show’s creator, entering and announcing, “Lucien, you’re not leaving Paris.” This left me puzzled, wondering if I had committed some error. I had assumed I might be facing arrest or similar consequences.

‘And he went, “No, we’re going to keep you around a little bit.” But yeah, the reach is just crazy.’

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I often find myself pondering over intriguing scenarios like this one. In response to the question about what factors might have led to the expansion of a character from just two episodes, I would humbly speculate that it could be due to several compelling qualities the actor brought to the role. Perhaps the nuanced portrayal of the character’s emotions resonated with viewers, or maybe the unexpected twists in the character’s development kept audiences engaged and eager for more. Regardless, it’s always fascinating to see how a well-crafted performance can captivate an audience and lead to further exploration of a character’s story.

The actor went on, expressing his bewilderment by saying, ‘I’m completely clueless! But I must extend my gratitude to those mysterious acting forces, wherever they may be, floating around in the universe.’

It seems that collaborating with Lily made our relationship on the set particularly effective. Perhaps this is why they decided to continue keeping me involved in the project.

In the finale of the third season, things became chaotically uncertain as Emily’s romantic relationship with Alfie abruptly ended at Gabriel and Camille’s wedding ceremony, a moment when Camille discovered that her future spouse harbored unspoken affections for Emily.

“From the preview, it seems like you might be figuring out your relationship dynamics or current situation?”

Lucien replied: “Wow, if I had to guess, I’d say that after season three, it certainly leaves us hanging with anticipation for what might come next.”

For Alfie, the first half of the season has been somewhat confusing and unpredictable, much like a rollercoaster ride. It’s been a challenging time as he navigates through the complexities, and honestly, it’s been a bit sad too.

The trailer for season four of Emily in Paris unveils the intrigue surrounding Emily’s love life, involving both Alfie and Gabriel, which was hinted at a month ago.

In the first part of the popular Netflix show set to premiere on August 15, Emily will strive to avoid being entangled in two love relationships and instead concentrate on her personal growth.

While wandering through the romantic city, Emily encounters numerous attractive men, recognizing a need for fresh, novel adventures following her previous unsuccessful relationships.

However, even though she’s making an effort to enjoy being single again, Emily finds herself looking back at her past relationships with Lucien Laviscount’s character Alfie and Lucas Bravo’s character Gabriel.

With Mindy Chen, her best friend, encouraging her that no romance is flawless, Emily seeks guidance. However, this wisdom propels her to reconsider her involvement in the love triangle, hoping to discover her ideal match along the way.

In a tricky situation, Emily expresses that she believed she could leave them behind, but they hold significant importance for distinct reasons.

Mindy says: ‘Don’t over think it’.

At work, Emily frequently butts heads with her supervisor, Sylvie Grateau (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), due to her habit of sharing details about her romantic affairs, which often conflicts with her professional duties in the office.

Starting from August 15, the initial five episodes will be accessible for viewing. You’ll need to patience until September 12, which is nearly a whole month later, for the second set of episodes.
