As I delve into the captivating journey of Lucas Bravo, I find myself utterly fascinated by his transformative path from a French heartthrob to a versatile actor breaking boundaries in the cinema world. Hailing from a celebrated sports family, Bravo’s life seems like a beautiful blend of athleticism and artistry.

In an unexpected transformation, one of the main characters from Emily in Paris now bears a striking resemblance to someone from the 1970s following a drastic makeover.

The 36-year-old actor from France captivated the show’s viewers with his Gallic allure and classic, handsome looks reminiscent of a matinee idol.

However, for the latest photoshoot unveiling the fourth series, he underwent a striking change to embody the bohemian elegance of New Hollywood.

Behind a thick beard, long hair obscuring his features, and a flashy pair of red sunglasses, he hides the veined whiteness of his face carved in stone.

When photos of his fresh appearance popped up on Instagram, many fans who found it hard to believe rushed to comment, sharing their amazement instead.

So can you guess who he is?

The mystery actor is Lucas Bravo, who stars on Emily In Paris as Chef Gabriel, one of the love interests of Lily Collins’ title character.

In the spirit of the ’70s, I donned a vintage-inspired ensemble, pairing a worn denim jacket with a bold red and white polo beneath, adding an extra layer of authenticity to my stylish hairstyle.

Lucas unveiled the transformation during a get-together with his Emily in Paris co-stars for a photoshoot close to the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles.

Among a group of fellow actors such as Lucien Laviscount and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Lucas truly shone with his striking new look.

One Instagram commenter apparently failed to even recognize him, writing: ‘Whos the dude with 70’s dress aesthetic? Cool.’

“I can’t help but wonder, ‘Whatever became of Gabriel?’ one fan questioned, as another passionately asked, ‘Have you seen Gabriel anywhere?!’ A third chuckled, mirroring my own sentiment with a light-hearted, ‘So, what’s the deal with Gabriel these days?'”

Fans have pondered if Lucas might don his ’70s style again when Emily In Paris returns on Netflix this Thursday.

Instead, the upcoming season four trailer shows Gabriel retaining his familiar appearance, sporting a clean-shaven face and short hair, much like how he looked in previous seasons.

Lucas is born into a well-known French family, being the son of the retired footballer Daniel Bravo, who played professionally during the 1980s and 1990s.

Following his modeling career, he attained international heartthrob fame when Emily In Paris premiered on Netflix in 2020, making it a popular choice for viewers during lockdown.

He confessed the following year that he was ‘working against’ his ‘heartthrob’ image because French filmmakers ‘don’t want good-looking. They want broken faces.’

In my perspective, I found myself transformed into a symbol of instant fame once Emily in Paris skyrocketed to popularity, as Lucas pointed out. Moreover, he contended that within the current landscape of French cinema, it’s challenging for individuals to embody both physical attractiveness and intellectual depth or complexity.

According to reports from The Times, he stated: ‘I consistently landed characters such as the dim-witted gym instructor. Breaking free from this stereotype is challenging. I’m not expressing dissatisfaction, but it’s simply the truth.’

Lately, he’s been featured in an upcoming French horror-comedy titled The Balconettes, which was jointly penned by Céline Sciamma, the acclaimed director of Portrait of a Lady on Fire.

Additionally, he will portray the notorious character Bruno Sulak, a gentleman thief, in an upcoming biographical film titled “Libre,” which is being helmed by actress Melanie Laurent from Inglourious Basterds.

Ever since I shot to fame on Emily In Paris, my journey in Hollywood has led me to be part of the 2022 romantic comedy, Ticket To Paradise, which stars none other than George Clooney and Julia Roberts.
