Emily In Paris Shocker: Lily’s New Romance?!

Filming for Emily In Paris series five kicked off in Rome earlier this month.

On Friday, Lily Collins, aged 36, who portrays marketing executive Emily Cooper, was captured filming a romantic sequence alongside her present screen partner, Eugenio Franceschini, 33 years old.

Together, they were seen walking hand-in-hand while meandering through the picturesque Aventine district. Eventually, they paused at a well-known romantic landmark in Rome – the enchanting ‘keyhole’.

For the scene, Lily looked effortlessly chic in a blue-and-white polka dot co-ord.

Her attire included a short-sleeved buttoned top and Capri trousers that had ruffled cape accents.

She finished off her ensemble with a set of blue-bow heeled shoes and a pearl-adorned crocheted handbag.

While filming, the duo was spotted taking a look through a keyhole to catch a view of Saint Peter’s Basilica dome in Vatican City. The picturesque scene was beautifully accentuated by the nearby hedges that encircled it.

While portraying Emily’s new love interest, Marcello, played by Eugenio, sported a relaxed look with a short-sleeved green shirt, highlighting his well-defined arms.

He matched them with trouser’s hue of weathered orange and brown leather Chelsea boots while admiringly looking at his fellow actor, walking side by side with intertwined hands.

In the forthcoming series, Emily will find herself balancing a prospective life in Rome with her old life in Paris.

By the conclusion of season four, Emily faced a significant choice: she had been given an opportunity to become the head of the Italian branch of Agence Grateau.

Even though Emily had grown fond of both Paris and her current workplace, she found herself drawn towards a fresh chapter – a potential romance in Rome – with a different partner.

Fans may recall that Emily and Gabriel, played by Lucas Bravo, ended up parting ways when they attempted to rekindle their relationship following Gabriel’s breakup with Camille.

After a false pregnancy rumor, Camille disclosed that she wasn’t truly pregnant, and Emily and Gabriel began discussing the possibility of a future romantic relationship.

Yet, fate had other plans for the tragic couple; they couldn’t reconcile their disagreements, which led her to find comfort in the embrace of Marcello, following an encounter on the snowy heights of Megève, where she was left stranded by Gabriel.

They ran into each other once more at a polo tournament in Paris, and they spent an enjoyable evening together in the city that extended well into the next day. It was during this time that he invited her to pay a visit to him in Rome.

Emily chose to follow her feelings and journeyed to reunite with Marcello, who happened to oversee his family’s business. Yet, Emily’s employer, Sylvie, had assigned her the duty of negotiating for the business. Nevertheless, Emily felt hesitant about combining personal matters with professional responsibilities.

Emily and Marcello encountered a difficulty when she disclosed her intention to establish a business connection with his family, who ran a high-end cashmere enterprise. However, they eventually resolved their differences.

At this stage, Gabriel found himself engaged in an open discussion with Alfie (Lucien Laviscount). Alfie encouraged Gabriel to make an effort to rekindle his relationship with Emily, even though he had a romantic past with her himself.

However, Emily was not found in Rome, as instead she spent her day romantically with Marcello.

As I eagerly anticipate the new episodes, I can’t help but feel that our character, Gabriel, has come to understand that letting go of Emily isn’t as simple as it seems. Perhaps, in his heartfelt pursuit, he may have made a decision that could prove to be quite significant.

They undoubtedly had a major argument followed by a time apart. However, I suspect that by the end of the season, he came to understand that he didn’t want to lose Emily.

I’m not sure what that implies. It doesn’t automatically mean they’ll end up as a couple, or even be together at all in the future. Honestly, I believe he has some lingering matters with those two individuals.

On the bright side, the series creator Darren Star indicates that the entire season may not be relocating to Rome after all.

He informed Deadline that “Sylvie hasn’t altered her Instagram username to ‘Emily in Rome.’ Instead, she works in Rome at times. Interestingly, Sylvie’s company maintains an office in the Eternal City.

Emily is making progress with it, but I don’t assume this implies a permanent relocation to Rome. To me, it’s not a permanent move. We are not planning to leave Paris.

The show is anticipated to premiere later this year, however, one of its key actors has disclosed that they won’t reappear in it.

31-year-old actress Camille Razat, known for her role as Camille in the romantic comedy-drama, shared a heartfelt farewell message on Instagram, expressing her feelings following an upset among fans due to changes made by producers that were perceived as negatively impacting her character.

Since the series began streaming in 2020, Camille has portrayed both friend and romantic adversary to Emily on the show.

Now, after five years on our screens as Camille, the actress is ready to move on.

Posting a mix of photos from my amazing adventure, I shared: ‘Concluding an unforgettable chapter, I’ve chosen to say goodbye to Emily from Paris.’

Experiencing such richness has been an absolutely delightful journey, one that nurtured growth, sparked creativity, and created memories I’ll cherish forever.

I’m extremely thankful to Starmandarren and the whole crew at Netflix and Paramount Pictures for their faith in me, offering me the chance to breathe life into Camille, and keeping the possibility that she could reappear open since she’s an integral part of Emily In Paris’ universe.

For me, this character holds significant importance, and it seems fitting that her narrative arc has concluded. It feels like the perfect time to embark on fresh adventures.

In the recent past, I completed work on two television series: ‘Nero’, streaming on Netflix, and ‘The Lost Station Girls’, available on Disney+. Additionally, I am thrilled to announce that I have established my own production company, @tazar_production.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that my team primarily focuses on creating music videos and short films at the moment. However, an exciting new venture is brewing – we’re in the process of developing our very first feature film! This project, close to my heart, represents a significant step forward for us, fueling my passion and anticipation for its growth.

I depart from the performance with only affection and respect for the actors, team behind the scenes, and followers who have been with us throughout our journey.

‘Thank you for the beautiful ride.’

Her fans and co-stars rushed to the comments section to share their support.

Lily expressed: “I love you, my dear sister. What a thrilling journey it’s been, and it’s been a genuine delight. You shine like a star. I’m incredibly proud of you.

Philippine Beaulieu added: ‘You’ll be so missed ma chérie Frenchie!!!’

From the very beginning, you’ve been the driver of this show alongside me. Your deep-rooted enthusiasm for storytelling, your unique brand of dark humor, and your consistent dedication to remaining authentic, even when faced with pressures that pull you off course, are truly commendable.

Camille, let me tell you, it’s been nothing short of a privilege to dance alongside you during these seasons. Your unique brilliance has left an indelible mark on me, and I can’t help but feel incredibly honored. Continue to sparkle, my friend, for your light is truly extraordinary!

‘I’m going to miss laughing with you. I’m cheering you on in everything you do.’

Emily In Paris premiered on Netflix in October 2020.

The synopsis on the streaming service reads: ‘New passions. New fashions. New Emily?

A spirited marketing expert from the U.S. finds new freedom in both life and romance as she seizes her ideal position in Paris.

The show, created by Star, has had 40 episodes run over four seasons.

This ensemble includes Lily, Philippine, Ashley Park, Lucas, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, and Lucien.
