Emily in Paris season 4 finale isn’t meant to be last-ever episode
As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for binge-watching series, I’ve seen my fair share of romantic entanglements, but Emily in Paris has truly taken the cake (or croissant, as it were). The rollercoaster of emotions that is this show never ceases to leave me on the edge of my seat!
Emily in Paris season 4 spoilers follow.
The creator of “Emily in Paris,” Darren Star, has hinted at a fifth episode or season for the series, based on the suspenseful ending of season 4.
This year saw the release of the fourth season for the Netflix show, and just this week, part two became available for streaming.
Following a long period of playful interactions, the audience witnessed Emily (Lily Collins) and Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) become a couple. Regrettably, their romance didn’t last, as Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) soon made an appearance on the scene.
In a delightful turn of events, Marcello, the charming fellow, invited Emily to join him in beautiful Rome. Yet, this blossoming love wasn’t without its complications. As the fourth season drew to a close, Emily embarked on a fresh path with a new partner, while Gabriel vowed to locate her in Rome, leaving us all hanging on the edge of our seats.
Though a fifth season hasn’t been confirmed, Star is adamant that there’s more to Emily’s story.
He informed Deadline that although she hasn’t altered her Instagram username to “Emily in Rome”, she does work there occasionally since her company, Sylvie’s, maintains an office in Rome. He added that Emily is currently setting up shop there.
Although I consider it unlikely, I wouldn’t call it a definite move; to me, it’s not permanent. Rest assured, we’re not leaving Paris.
Star clarified that the last episode wasn’t intended to be the series finale, but more like a bridge leading into future seasons. He further mentioned, “From my perspective, it leaves things unresolved and open-ended, rather than concluding with a definitive ending.
In another part of the conversation, Star hinted at the potential for another love triangle. He suggested that Gabriel may have come to terms with not wanting to lose Emily so readily, and potentially made a significant blunder in the process.
After a major argument and some time apart, it seems he eventually recognized that by the end of the season, he didn’t want to lose Emily. In simpler terms, they had a big fight followed by reconciliation, and he came to understand that he doesn’t want to let her go.
Emily in Paris seasons 1-4 are available to stream on Netflix.
