As a seasoned observer of the entertainment industry and a keen follower of Lily Collins’ career, I must say that her latest endeavor, starring in Bess Wohl’s West End play, is yet another testament to her versatility as an actress. Her ability to immerse herself into diverse roles, from Emily in Paris to the enigmatic character she plays in this new production, is truly commendable.

On Tuesday evening, Lily Collins reconnected with her close friend Ashley Park when she went to see Ashley’s West End show in Barcelona. Lily was there to cheer on her dear companion.

The actresses, who both star in Netflix hit Emily In Paris, couldn’t contain their smiles as they posed for an Instagram snap outside the Duke of York’s Theatre in London.

In the Netflix series, Lily and Ashley, portraying Emily Cooper and Mindy Chen respectively, were spotted embracing on a city street prior to Ashley lifting Lily off her feet.

In the evening, Lily, aged 35, maintained a subdued presence dressed in a cozy brown sweater paired with blue denim jeans and comfortable sneakers.

With her long, loose brown hair and a subtle touch of makeup, the actress from Love Rosie kept cozy in a navy scarf and a lengthy woolen coat.

Simultaneously, at the age of 33, Ashley was fashionable in a crisp white blouse, pairing it with a long, chic coat in white and black, along with tall boots.

In an interesting turn of events, Paul Forman, Ashley’s partner and fellow cast member on the Netflix series, Nicolas de Leon, joined the stars on stage. For a fun moment, they all took a selfie together, which included the lovely Lily.

Lily was quite stylish, adorning a shimmering sequined outfit. She accessorized with an extensive makeup palette and a long, wavy blonde wig.

When your work BFF and spiritual twin drops by to support you at your secondary gig, I adore you infinitely, @ashleyparklady. I’ve picked up a thing or two from the master…

Ashley and Paul have a romantic storyline on the show and it has transferred seamlessly off-screen.

Last week, Lily was photographed with Sir Ian McKellen, who had just lent his support to her on stage.

65-year-old Lord of the Rings star was beaming next to a familiar icon, as Lily couldn’t help but express her excitement about witnessing his impressive West End return, marking exactly 60 years since he made his debut at the Duke Of York’s Theatre.

As an ardent admirer, it was nothing short of surreal when none other than the legendary @ianmckellen graced the stage of @barcelonatheplay tonight! Remarkably, he made his West End debut here at @dukeofyorksldn in 1964 – the very same stage I’m now stepping onto for my own debut. What an incredible connection we share!

‘I still cannot believe it. A truly photo worthy moment I’ll never forget…,’ she finished.

In the second photo, The Hobbit actor was seen beaming happily as he stood next to Emily and her movie-making spouse Charlie McDowell (aged 41).

Lily takes on the role of real estate agent Irene alongside Money Heist’s Alvaro Morte, who portrays the enigmatic character Manuel, a Spanish gentleman with a distaste for Americans.

For the next 12 weeks, this duo will be featured in Bess Wohl’s West End production titled “Barcelona” at London’s Duke of York’s Theatre.

Last month, the actress and Alvaro, aged 49, sat down with Cat Deeley and Dermot O’Leary on the couch at ITV, talking about their upcoming West End premiere.

In summary, Lily shared that the story revolves around a young woman who heads to Barcelona for her bachelorette party. While there, she encounters a Spanish gentleman at a local bar, and they end up leaving the bar together.

The experience offers an unexpected, thrilling journey. Each night on stage reveals new, unanticipated elements.

Alvaro mentioned: “They’ve been spending time together at his place for quite a while now, and you can tell they’re learning more about each other as well as some personal insights.

The show starts on October 21 and continues through January 11, 2025. Tickets are now being sold for a range of prices between £20 and £195.

As an enthusiastic admirer of Emily in Paris, I find myself echoing Cat’s curiosity about potential plans to transport our beloved character to London. Just like many others, I can’t help but express my ardent desire for Emily to visit the British capital, and I might even add, “Why not hop on the Eurostar instead?

‘There’s so many amazing monuments and things that she should do here.’

Lily, who has been with Charlie for three years, mentioned earlier that she hopes to establish a family together with him.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she expressed her desire: ‘Absolutely, having a family is something I aspire to. It’s about balancing personal life, career, and merging them effectively. It’s always a challenge, but my aim is to continue enjoying all aspects of life. The crucial aspect is figuring out what works best for us as a family.’

Additionally, she playfully admitted that there were instances when she momentarily overlooked the fact that Charlie, her current spouse, was once her fiancé during their collaboration on the 2021 film “Windfall.

In a different role, the actress portrayed the spouse of a prosperous businessman, who, along with her partner, unexpectedly found a thief at their vacation retreat.

In the course of collaborating with Charlie on our projects, I found it incredibly smooth as he consistently treated everyone equally, demonstrating his strong affinity for being a director who truly understands actors. At times, I even forgot that he was my fiancé due to our profound creative connection.
