However, a series of difficult events – including multiple breakups, a frightening health issue, a surprising arrest, and even a death – has led some people involved with the Netflix show to believe it might be cursed.

The Daily Mail has learned that some employees are constantly worried and anxious, feeling like they have to be extremely careful because they expect something negative to occur.

After all, this year has been particularly turbulent.

Filming for the recently released fifth season was temporarily halted in August when a member of the crew, assistant director Diego Borella, unexpectedly collapsed and died while working in Venice, Italy. He was 47 years old, and medical personnel were unable to revive him. The incident was witnessed by a shocked crew.

A spokesperson for Paramount TV Studios confirmed with great sadness that a member of the Emily in Paris team had unexpectedly passed away, according to a statement released at the time.

Camille, played by Razat, was a key character in the show, which centers around Emily Cooper (Lily Collins), a social media enthusiast from the American Midwest who moves to Paris for a new marketing position.

It’s a really busy time,” he explained. “When people take time off, we all just want to unwind and treat ourselves, maybe with a massage or something similar.

Despite the demanding schedule and a series of challenges, the cast has formed a strong and positive connection.
