As a seasoned gamer who has navigated through countless virtual worlds and relationships, I must say that the love story of Ashley Park and Paul Forman from Emily in Paris is a tale as captivating as any quest in a role-playing game. I never thought I’d see a real-life romance bloom between two characters who initially were nothing more than friends, but the twists and turns of their journey are reminiscent of the unexpected encounters one stumbles upon in the most unassuming of dungeons.
Ashley Park, who plays Emily in Paris, recently disclosed the embarrassing moment that sparked her on-screen romance with fellow actor Samuel John (Paul Forman).
On the television series, Mindy Chen’s actress, Park, is presently involved with her on-screen love interest, Forman (portrayed as Nicolas de Léon), off-camera in real life.
Yet, the scenario hadn’t always been so organized and clean-cut. In fact, Park had made up her mind to avoid dating actors entirely in the future.

As a dedicated gamer, I wouldn’t be swayed by someone so flawlessly good-looking; we simply enjoyed each other’s company in a strictly platonic way. We’d often spend time together, just the two of us, as friends, not lovers. I shared this with Cosmopolitan magazine.
After being invited by the International Medical Corps for a volunteering opportunity with Ukrainian refugees in Poland, Park requested Forman to join her on this mission later on.
Moving ahead, as we were shooting one of our final scenes, he confided, “I’m finding myself growing quite fond of you.”
Despite trying to suppress it, Park’s fellow actor, Lily Collins, picked up on the palpable connection and inquired if there might be some romantic tension between them.

Park expressed, “Lily, it’s disappointing that you don’t trust my development, considering he fits the description of the kind of person I mentioned I wouldn’t pursue. After all, remember what I told you? I would deeply appreciate it if you, as a friend, could support my decisions by believing me.”
Yet, it became clear to the actress that Collins was correct regarding her feelings for Forman, and she found herself acknowledging their shared affection as a couple.
She confessed, “I found myself in quite a pickle – I’ve been deceiving my closest friend, but it turns out I do have feelings for this man. I had to figure out what to do next.” So, I embarked on a somewhat embarrassing journey of truth-telling. I ended up blurting out, “Lily and all, we’re head over heels in love!” This happened around two years back.
You can currently stream seasons 1 through 3 of “Emily in Paris” on Netflix. The first half of season 4 will be available for viewing starting on Thursday, August 15, with the second half following a month later, premiering on Thursday, September 12.
